I agree with Brian Turner but if it was for eye candy then James Martin (would have been Gordon R but don't think he looks as good since his bit of surgery - I prefer the lines)

Booked in with midwife to have a go next Wednesday, and have been booked in for an induction if all else fails for the 23rd December!! Inductions can take 2 to 3 days to work, so could be a Christmas baby!! Argh!! So please, send me lots of labour vibes for things to start earlier!!!

Ohhh dont have a Christmas day baby. My 9yr old is a Chrsitmas day baby and she hates her birthday being on the 25th. I hated being in hospital then too it was horrible. They closed one ward and the heating was off.

All mine were induced by the drip and i had really quick labours and birth but if you are going for induction i would recommend checking your birth plan ref pain relief :o

    Ideas to get things going!:

Nipple Stimulation! :o In the bath rub your nibbles for couple mins or so. It will make you contract. :rotfl:

    S e x :D

    Hot Curry

    Long Walk

Have you been drinking Raspberry tea? It is great for helping loosen your cervix muscles. Makes for a shorter labour apparently but best to start drinking from week 36.

There are various oils you can use to help - you put couple droips in your bath - but you have to be careful and research the right ones as using the wrong ones can be dangerous.

Also on a pregnancy forum i use to read when i had my youngest DD a couple of the ladies had acupuncture and also the one with the foot massage and both went into labour day after having the treatment! Both are safe for you and baby as long as you go to a registered and fully qualified practioner.

    Hello all

Don't worry this is very gentle...... with xmas round the corner, quick xmas question?

1.IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY CHEF TO COOK YOUR DINNER WHO WOULD YOU HAVE ANY WHY?

I think I'd be too excited and nervous to eat if this was one of the well-known chefs so I'll choose my son. Although if he were still alive ( I think he's dead but not too sure) I would have chosen the Galloping Gourmet.

    2. IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE 3 PEOPLE TO HAVE XMAS LUNCH WITH, (DEAD OR ALIVE, CELEBRITIY ONLYS) WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?.

    A - Derren Brown

    B - Uri Geller

    C -Kim Woodburn

I don't think there would be a lull in the conversation, do you? :D

No my love, there wouldn't be my love.....

Sending you lots of labour vibes, try all the tricks in the book (curry, sex, pineapples, cleaning) - they don't work but will keep you busy! ;)

Isn't drinking caster oil work - or is that just an old wives tale?
I am so glad I'm on the main computer, its in my bedroom next to the loo..... nearly pee'd myself laughing.....

We went down to Devon for a hol when I was 37 weeks gone, I'm sure my parents wanted my daughter born in Devon.... I went swimming, I even sat on the damm jets of the jacuzzi, for an hr every day for a week, as they do say pregnant woman shouldn't go in a jacuzzi as the force can start labour off....... but it didn't

I had the sweep done, done on the wed, tod I'd have her by the fri, but was booked into be induced on the mon (39 weeks), there was nothing wrong with the pregnancy, just as "him", we split up when I was 7 mths gone, had previously threatened to smash the midwife in the face, as for the doctor where to stick his stethosocope, the hospital decided it would not be best for me to go into labour at due date or afterwards, as apparently 1st babies are usually late......and they couldn't guarentee mine or their safety.

Worked out for the best as mum had booked a suprise holiday in Devon for us, so dd had her 1st hol at 2 weeks 6 days.

Hence the sweep, went home had the strongest curry, half a bottle of red wine, didn't the trick..... the fri came and went. my waters broke on thw sat ngt, dd appeared at 11.55am on the sunday, we joked just in time for opening hrs..
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
