    Hello all :j
Just killing bit of time before we go off for hospital appt. Managed to bring it forward to 3.30pm instead of 4.30pm =OH was worried about the dire weather we were forecast that so far hasn't happened but just our luck...........if there's going to be any freezing going on it'll be at that time when we're on our way back. If it'd been a brighter day we were going into the town where the hospital is for a bit of retail therapy but its no joy when the weather's so cold and damp -not good for OH.
Poodled about in the garden and found a terracotta pot that should be ok for my 'twig tree'...........now looking at the branch OH brought in for me............not sure its going to look much good when I've done.............still, I can only try.............
Thats better timing, hopefully you missed the rush hour traffic xx
mum2one -well done on your assignment :T
Do you keep a diary ? If you don't then you should..........your posts always make me chuckle:rotfl:

rufus - glad to hear your dad sounding better........fingers crossed for it to carry on that way.
    Ditto xx

Thank you, so funny with you saying re keeping the diary, brought a notebook so start the year off with the family incidents--- maybe find a publisher!! xxx

    Hello Congratulations on Bethan
Yesterday I was at argos car park maybe 9.30pm (it was open till 10 yesterday) and i found 20 pound note in the car park. Asked a few people who were walking near and they said it didnt belong to them. Ask a couple of people in Argos again nope so mentioned it to customer service man who said it was kind to ask but i might as well keep it because the person who lost it would be long gone , feel a bit guilty so its just sat on the side but happy i did ask about and that people could of lied and said it was theres but they didn't .
Plus in the argos carpark is like 8 other shops (Retail park) so it could be from any where... still feel bad though x

Got my friend daughter (her bday on the 27th) a secret diary and pen and lock and key from argos reduced to 1.50 :) she will love it. will add chocolate and some thing else nearer the time x

ragz - you must have known!! lol

    Congrats mum2one with your course!

I'm so relieved she's here now. Was getting a bit obsessive compulsive about the fact that EVERYTHING else for Christmas was all planned and sorted, but her arrival wasn't! lol But now I can relax! ONLY thing left to do is make snowman poop bags later next week!

Thanks again everyone!! Merry Christmas!! (Off to change my signiture!)

Got back from hospital just after 6pm.

Not sure what to make of it all but seems the 'mass of stuff' (whatever it is leftover from an infection) hasn't shrunk any more.........but on plus side hasn't grown either  'Boffin' did much scratching of head etc. and said he'd see OH in 5 weeks time and see if it had shrunk any more all on its own............no more antibiotics. If it hasn't then he'll send him off for further CT scan............. Tried to get out of him what if......? but got blank 'boffin' type expression.....
Then I mentioned OH's leg...............his left one gives him gip sometimes when he's been walking...........so 'boffin' has OH's shoes and socks off (brave man!!) says OH's feet cold and had a job to get a pulse in left one.
If that gets any worse OH will have to see Vascular chappie (think I remembered that right) about circulation/arteries................. (began to with I'd kept mouth firmly zipped !)
Still there doesnt seem to be any 'urgency' so I'm working on that to give me the 'relief' factor.
Oh dear.................have we reached that stage/age in life when our days out are visits to doctors and hospitals ? Lets hope not..............lol

Plus side OH is looking a lot better than he did............missed his afternoon doze for a few days now (best not mention it otherwise he'll suddenly fall asleep..........lol) and isn't getting the pain so often.......he's even talking of going back to work:eek: He polishes old furniture and thinks he can manage the odd small chest of drawers...........remains to be seen. I'd rather he didn't but I can understand he wants a bit of 'normality' back in his life after all this.

Well, tomorrow I'm doing my twig tree..........looking at the bit of twisted willow OH got for me I'm a bit unsure about it but .............well, we can only try................lol:rotfl:

Just playing catch up, thats brilliant news re other half, at least ur getting him seen for his leg.

You sound very organised with the twig tree, bet it all looks lovely xx

santas challange - There be a small challenge for christmas eve, esp as the thread is named after the great man (no not u Martin!!(:money:)

Closing of thread- if we keep this thread till new Year, as with the secret santa being 2009, we can put what we had on here and how we got on with xmas etc

New Thread - Its under planning- It will be the same title but 2010, and as we've had such a brilliant year, lots of wonderful posts, and massive thank u to 1 and all. I've done the intro and 1st Jan challenge - plan is keep the Santas challenge - for the 24th, there be a mini challenge for the 1st of each month

Money Neutral - again we're working alongside money neutral thread, I haven't got the link thou it is on post as jamtart has started the 2010 thread - as the main incentive was get us ready for all ocassions and christmas,

Do I need anything - Yes - I'm trying an additional element to the thread, (at mo its a suprise), hence the 1st of the month, if you could get a folder, a note book,
(its an idea - in the long run help for the year - but depending on how much you want to do, just start with one cheap notebook and pen)

We have had such a brilliant year, and everyone has worked so hard, and we all deserve 30mins over xmas with our feet up, or bubble bath in peace, grab a book and have half an hr.... a little "me time"

    xx
