Ditto from me as well xx
Thanks ladies. Had a lovely evening out! Was about 20 of us and had a lovely meal and quiz! Got a sore throat today though, not sure how, don't think I was snogging too many people... lol Was lovely though. Lots of good friends and good food, and I survived very well considering I'm just about 39 weeks pregnant now!My Christmas pressie to him...............his to me is simply being here:o
Awwwww.
Managed to put together pots of gold yesterday for New Year Eve's table gifts - quite impressed with them really! Glad I bought some gold star cellophane wrap. Going to make crackers today first me thinks - only cracker packs, nothing special, but the 5 for New Year's eve will have a number in it to match with the number secretly taped to the bottom of the pots of gold! Then need to do similar with another 7 for the person specific table gifts for Christmas Day.
Lots of pressie wrapping today too me thinks...once my body has decided to wake up and catch up with my brain! lol

Would love to make some pots of gold- great idea to make them for new year's!;)
Any ideas where I could get some gold pots? I've seen the Ikea ones but it's a bit far for me to go just for these (as if I'd be leaving with only these!)
Suppose I could make Bags of gold, but doesn't really have the same ring to it lol!
Maybe the kids could make some papier mache pots for me!!!
mum2one I took your good advice, had a coffee, sorted my file, watched Nigella's Christmas and chilled, aaahhh, so glad the rain stopped and could send the kids out to play!:T" If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. "

helen - I bought some really cheap diaries and covered then with either matching or co-ordinating paper so they went well with the post it note key rings........make a nice little gift put in a little bag.
fed08 - I feel a bit of a cheapskate with my pots of gold.......I normally use empty kitchen jars or, last year, I did a few in gravy tubs. Covered the tub with images of gold coins, gold ribbon on top, fill with choccy coins and a scratch card............made it easier for those I had to post. Think everyone must have had one last year so this year its 'pots of snowballs'
Spent the morning making some more peg magnets -think I've got enough now - and writing letters to go with some of the christmas cards to give friends a run down (potted version) of my year..........now theyre all stamped and ready to go:j
Anyone know when I should bring in a bit of my twisted willow tree to make a 'twiggy' tree to stand on the dresser ? There's a branch of it about to fall off but don't want to bring it in too soon nor leave it too late -not done one before so a bit vague on thisI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

then I need to post a parcel (sigh - hate posting stuff, always so expensive!)
If you think posting a parcel is expensive, you could try my approach - I look at it by asking myself 'If I took this fiver down to the petrol station, how far would it get me?' - or perhaps 'How far would I get if I bought a single train ticket?' - I bet you the answer's never going to be as far as your parcel gets taken, and it's delivered to their door, and you don't have to spend the time taking it there yourself. I think we underrate our postal services!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0
