Thanks all for your kind thoughts.........its so much appreciated...........but I'm not going to be an 'old moaner' ...............OH watching football so I've just sat and twined some gold star stuff round my three 'soft trees'..........it was a sort of coil of thread andf stars........fiddly but I like them and even OH approves...........lol
3-cheeky-princesses - who did you get to do the parcel collection ? Thats such a good price.
I'll have four shoe boxes to send off
Mary ~ I found them on ebay (you dont have to pay or buy thry EBay) as EBay seem to be advertising alternative shiping to Royal Mail at the moment due to the strikes. The one i went with is this one that do door to door service, tracking and signerture on delivery:
https://www.myhermes.co.uk/wps/portal/PN_CTR/
Others tho you may want to checkout are:

I cant believe how much cheaper it can be to Royal Mail or Parcel force. I have always used them and have paid lots in the past to send parcels but will def shop around now. Hello Roxie
Welcome to the thread. Its never to late to get organised whether its for Christmas or just domestically.
When i feel overwhelmed i make listsI try to take 1 room at a time and this helps me. Its also a nice feeling to tick something off the list and feel like i am acomplishing something.
You sound rushed off your feet. I know easier said then done but try make time for yourself even if just 10 - 20 mins a day where it is your time. A bath is ideal for this. Just read a book, listen to music or relax in the bath.
I have 4 children 12yr ds, 9yr dd, 6 yr dd who has Aspergers and my 18 month old dd. I do bits from home mostly hobby EBaying and doing bits on the net to earn bit extra in vouchers etc but even being at home i find the housework can get on top of me sometimes.
Good luck and keep popping onto the thread. We are all friendly and happy to help. :TMember of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -

I have just had a parcel from the book people deliverd by myhermes. at least I think that was who it was as they put it through the letter box. they left a card yesterday cos I was out to re arrange delivery. not sure why they couldn't just put it through the letter box yesterdaystill at least it meant I have had a morning in the house and cleared up a bit!
thanks for the info 3 cheeky princesses. I have presents to get to Birmingham before Christmas and not sure when we are going to be able to go so this would be much easier and also cheaper!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

I've just got back from Mr A's where they have tons of Christmas stuff out and had to stay very strong and not buy the 2 for £7 tins of chocolates and they also have £1 for pringles and had to resist these too otherwise I would be eating them now!
I bought 2 lovely wreath to hang over the doors for £5 each and a hanger for £1 each. They had some more for £10-15 but the cheaper ones are quite neat and tidy and come in red and gold colour tones.
Popped them upstairs alongside the Smart Price 19p silver gift bags that I will put a DVD into for the Christmas Eve Hampers. Was going to buy special sized boxes but for 19p thought I'd give them a try (even if they don't fit they'll come in for something!)
All HM treats have been made for now and just a few more to make much closer to the time so I am just going through my shopping list to make sure what I need to get in to avoid the mad rush closer to Christmas

Thats funny because i just had them deliver my Book People order too and they collected the parcel at the same time! We have relatives in Worcester and wont be able to get upto them at christmas so will be using the service again to post their presents up. The parcel collected today via Hermes is going down to Kent. Will update when it arrives at my mums and how long it took etc..
Forgot to add for a 10% discount check this page the day you book your delivery for the code and add when pronpted when booking delivery. They post a different code each day so need the code for the day you book:

We are going abroad for Christmas & New Year this year for the first time (hence being organised with presents) so can look forward to that instead of trailing round shops.0 -
3-cheeky-princesses - thanks for those links. Had a look -just need to find a method of weighing the shoe boxes I've got...............lol Don't think we've got any bathroom scales...............but maybe my neighbour has.
Well, managed to clear some space in comp. room (mostly by moving what was here up to the spare room:eek: as if thats not cluttered enough..........lol) Young girl was due to come and run Henry around but didn't turn up  So.........I had a go............talk about back breaking:eek: I'll not be doing that again in a hurry.........:rotfl:
OH's letter to confirm appt. came this morning - crikey -scarey stuff all details about this endoscopy thing plus letter says there are two 'shadows' on his lung - scared witless or what
Must keep potisive I tell myself............and not drone on and spoil any festive feelings for anybody else so I'll shut up about it now..................:rolleyes:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
