    Hi all !:j
Well, never did go down town and post parcel........thought I'd give it another week, was thinking next Tuesday...........then hospital phoned with appointment for OH to have a bronchoscopy (one of those tube down the throat things)..........depending on that he might have a biopsy the same day or week later..........totally threw me it did.........we wanted it to come quick but it sent me all of a shiver.........
So nothing christmassy been done at all..........but I have cleared out my filing cabinet -much needed......and shredded a load of outdated stuff..............rest of the comp. room is c**p.............didn't get around to doing anything else, took me long enough to do what I did:rolleyes:
Maybe I'll feel a bit more 'festive' tomorrow and actually get on and do something.

    Hi mary-op,

If it's any help, my dad had to have a bronchoscopy and biopsy done a few years back. They do try and get them done as quickly as they can, I think, so that people don't have a chance to get too nervous. The doctor who did Dad's was lovely and Dad said that although it was a bit unpleasant, it was over quicker than he realised.

I'll be thinking of you both on Tuesday. Give your OH my best regards.

Sending you lots of Christmassy greetings (early though they may be).

Have sorted all my "clutter" today ready for ebaying and also sorted into summer and winter selling so the summer stuff can go in the attic until February. Managed to get a few bits listed and also to the bank to get the Music Magpie cheque in. Also wrapped most of ds pressies last night, one or two more and the big one! Now need more time to myself to wrap DD things.
Also managed to get the pots for my pots of gold today.
Hubby thinks I'm spending the day tidying, well I have of a sort, but wouldn't say it looks any better!
Ah well, hope the sausage casserole I've made for his tea butters him up lol

TOP TIP - FRESH GROUND COFFEE
if your not going to use it straight away, put it in the freezer, and use as and when, very weird, but the woman we brought some fresh coffee in the market swears by it, doesn't affect the taste xx

My wine box arrived today from M+S with the 12 bottles of wine in!

I also ordered a wind up wooden musical christmas tree to go either in the kitchen or on the sideboard. It is lovely and arrived today and the perfect size at 46cm.I think children would like it too as it tinkles out 'We Three Kings' and has bright wood toys attached.

The spare room is looking nice and tidy now I have delcuttered some things via ebay and freecycle and got rid of all the cardboard boxes I was storing for some reason ontop of the wardrobe.

    Spare room for Santa's challenge
list clothes on ebay incl some party dresses and shoes that I will never wear again (I doubt it anyway atm)
    list 2 pieces of furniture
List 1 or 2 electrical items

then that is done and dusted for the festivities

Next area to concentrate on is making the few family cards and get up to date with the food list which is half done and just finish the menu off. Might forgo a starter this year so we have room for a desert!

Great minds think alike, I was already plotting to do that with the Baileys offer. I love Baileys and can't wait to try the coffee one, plus it's only weak so baby won't mind ;)

Re the coffee thing, OH has always told me to do that (and I do, when I remember) it does work well, always seems to smell fresher.

erm - bless you for the reassurance.
My Dad had a bronchoscopy some years back -something to do with an ulcer if I remember right. He had an aneasthetic for it and hospital say that's what OH will have.
He hates hospitals at the best of times so is really nervous about all this but wants to get it done so we know what we're dealing with.
I'm going to ask my foster daughter if she'll take us (I don't drive) I'm sure she will and it'll be company for me while I'm waiting.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • Hello all. I finished off my dd's hamper today and a couple more movie ones for family. Also wrapped some of my mums presents and all my dh's presents that i have so far.

I have booked a collection for tomorrow for the parcel to go to my mum's house for her to dish out all the presents we have brought the rest of the family (sisters, BIL, Nieces) as they all live close together in 1 village. It was only £7 something from door to door whilst it would off been over £15 with ParcelForce!

I think i have accidently put my Magpie Music cheque in the recycling bin!!! The bin men come in the morning so am going to have to empty it tonight to find it. It is filled to the top too! Should be fun.

MARY - I havent any experience of that procedure but wish you and you dh well and thinking of you XXX

I have almsot finished doping put all our bedroom and so far have donated 4 big boxes toys, books and clothes to oyr local charity shop and have another 4 to go to the womans refuge. I also have a couple of boxes of stuff to list on EBay but cant seem to built up the "excitment" to do it! lol Must do it soon tho. I listed all the bigger stuff last month and made quite a bit but this is the smaller stuff like clothes.

Great offer Mum2One with the NOTW Twilight/ New Moon promo. You can have all of it ( which i think is the promo DVD, Flachcard, Lenticular Print) for £5.99 p&p.
