Is anyone else really struggling with choosing the Secret Santa gifts???
I cheated a bit - I searched for my secret Santa person I'm choosing for, then read through lots of their posts to get an idea about what they like. I've found it's helped quite a lot to get more of an idea for gifts.Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -

Its a really hard diet but worth it! Its like lighter life but half the price.
I do the sole source diet where all you have is 3 shakes a day for 2 weeks (you can only drink water or black tea or coffee) then after 2 weeks you can subsitute 1 shake a day for one of their Bars (chocolate, cranberry, peanut etc etc). They advice you to drink 6 pints water a day. You do not drink or eat anything else
You can also do 2 shakes a day and a meal in the evening if 3 shakes a day isnt enough.
It is hard but i lost a stone in the first week and over a stone every month after that. It costs approx £35 week which sounds alot but when i worked out after i had 1 takeaway a week, my share of food plus all the zero coke i drink (i dont drink coffee or tea) it was getting near £35 a week for food and drink for me anyway.Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -
Hi all
Rufus - as everyone has said your quilt is fantastic.
I've been to Mr Ts tonight while the kids were at Beavers and they have an offer on that you get a litre bottle of Baileys half price (so £9) if you spend £30 so that's the last of my mum's presents sorted.
Not long to go now!

Im a fitness insructor and the best diet you can follow is the caveman diet (its not a diet its healthy eating) basically if you cant hunt it down, fish it out of the see, dig it out of the ground or pick it off a tree dont eat it. I do agree that liquid diets are a quick fix, but 9 times out of 10 once you go back to eating solid food you will just put the weight back on. Also if you work out with light weights will help to tone and skulpt your body whilst also burning more body fat then aerobic exercise and you wont look like a big body builder either which is a common myth0 -

I could never manage that diet lol
I started WW in April and was doing really well, then fell pregnant and started eating way too much, i now look full term with 3 months to go (someone stopped me in the street earlier and said "Oh you must be due reall soon" I had to point out I've actually got 12 weeks and have put on over 2 stone  already. I thought my knickers were getting tight! Nothing I can do now apart from stop eating junk , can't try to lose weight while pregnant but will be straight back to WW next year.
Anyone doing these drastic diets should be aware they aren't sustainable (healthy weight loss is 1-2lb a week) and can be dangerous so do be careful.
On a more xmassy note, bought a huge hardback in charity shop earlier all about Christmas, with loads of food and decoration ideas so been enjpying reading that and feeling xmassy.
There was a recipe for Turkish Delight (yuck!) and it looks really easy so going to make some for FIL as he loves it and it's his birthday just before xmas. Anyone want the recipe jsut PM me.
Decorations looked far too crafty for me but getting some good inspiration so I may try my hand at something homemade. We don't have many xmas decs as only been living together 4 years and I usually just make paperchains and snowflakes.
If anyoen knows where I can buy cheap decorations that'd be great as I really want the house to look festive this year.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Morning all,
Weather here is miserable and rainy. Make me feel like crawling back under the covers.
Got lots to do today. Want to stay busy as will take my mind off food as well as i start diet today.
Thank you Ragz and Shevs. I know this is a drastic diet and you should be careful but you are monitored by your counsellor diet and also have to get your doctors approval and signerture. I will be careful i promise. I have tried WW when you had so many points a day but i found i was still eating bad foods just not going over my points allowance! On the cambridge diet as you get near your target weight they introduce food and help you to maintain your weight so you dont put it back on. They also give you counselling to try remedy why you over eat in the first place. Again it is a hard diet and not for everyone but works wells for me.
Right better go have a shower and get my lot up ready for school XMember of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0
