Rufusdog, the quilt is absolutely beautiful. I only wish I could make something that lovely - you put me to shame.

Did a bit more Xmas shopping over the weekend, and am down to my last 5 people to buy for. Am determined to start my wrapping this week, along with card writing.

However, before allt hat, I'm going to sit down properly with the Argos book and sort out my secret santa codes :rotfl:

As a non-Christmassy aside, I'm also going to look at flats/houses to buy. Very scared at the prospect of buying (my first time), but think it's about time I took the plunge! Seeing my first property tonight - kind of scared and excited all at the same time.

Can't believe it's the beginning of November - not long to go now, ladies!

I am a bit - it's why I really need to sit down and concentrate with it. I saw some lovely things online, but when I looked in the catalogue they were more expensive and I don't want to put down something above the budget.

Does anyone know if the online and in-store price should be the same?

    I wondered this too.

I thought it might just have been me, and thought I had perhaps looked at the wrong thing, or made a mistake.

All in all, there doesnt seem to be much for a tenner!! :rotfl:

I would hate to pick something for my person and they get to Argos with their £10 and it comes up more than that!! Id be mortified!

Nicky - we don't have a Poundland or Works near us...........nearest one is 20 miles away. This lad likes Banksy type art and I've found him a Banksy bood on amazon and a pocket size sketchbook............need a bigger sketch book as well, plus pencils (think I can get both of them in town here) and sharpender, eraser etc. folder to put his art stuff in and stuff like that.

Not done anything today except take stuff off walls and clean them to put them back........painter been in doing the kitchen.............he's back tomorrow to finish off hopefully but at least I should be able to get on with other stuff tomorrow.
Wednesday I must get last two photos copied for grandsons pooh bear album and might post one parcel off to my son -nothing valuable, just bits and bobs in it.............be interesting to see how long it takes to get to him.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
