Not got much done in the past week - been working 10 & 11 hr long shifts! Have been popping out to the cat rescue shop but until someone clears out the stuff I didn't want there isn't a lot of new stuff!
Have a day off tomorrow and planning on spending it in my pjs watching christmas films and assembling/wrapping up the hampers that I have done and double checking what I have and what I still need.
I bought a gorgeous gift set in a charity shop the other week and it looked really expensive so I decided to google the brand name- I paid £2.50 for it and it is worth about $50!!!!0 -
Yes the sweety jar is lovely i bought 2 very tall kiln jars from Tesco one is a mint humbug jar as hubby loves mints and the other will do retro sweets the mint jar cost 2.00 to fill and with the cost of jar 2.00 from tescos a great price as I had seen them in not so nice jars for a tenner.Weight loss challenge 66lb to go /59lb's lost

Oh Shwmae Welsh Poppy!
You are in my neck of the woods - Im in Port Talbot.:D:D
I saw some lovely jars in Tesco yesterday - it was £1 and was classed as a biscuit barrel but would be ideal for a retro sweet jar. Might go pick it up today to make boyfriend a retro sweet jar.
Did pick up yesterday this nice little set from Tesco too. Its a miniature bottle of Jack Daniels, A jack Daniels glass, a small glass bottle of coke and a metal bottle opener - was £8 but its tradition to get him jack Daniels of some sort at Christmas and dare say he'll get a bottle from someone (that's his back up gift if nothing else if thought of)
Also got my first pack of mince pies yesterday - nice Tesco's ones with the icing on top - personally i cant stand them but boyfriend likes them so they are aside in the cupboard ready.
Tiger cross stitch is almost finished now - am just on the last few bits before the back stitching begins. Cant wait for Ben to be back to school on Monday - have so much to get going on.
Cross stitch to finish
Christmas cards to make, write and address
Final shopping list to write of items to finish gifts
Go through Ben's toys and sent some unplayed with ones to charity shop
Drop bag of books at charity shop that have been sat in my room for months!
Oh what fun and just been informed bens little friend who he saw on Thursday has been taken ill with swine flu yesterday - oh the joys! both Ben and me feeling fine today and yesterday though so keeping fingers crossed and dosed up with vitamins!Time to find me again0 -

www.bangzo.com - the free book of the day is Spacecam - photographing the final frontier.
Postage is £2.45 ish, but the book is worth £17. I've ordered one for my Father-in-law as he loves anything to do with space. I'm so pleased to find this!!
This is the 3rd free book I've ordered from Bangzo and they all arrive very quickly. Another bonus is that I can pay the postage using Paypal so I just use my Ebay profitsMaking money for Christmas 2012!0 -

Hello all :j
Been trying to make some more christmas cards and special birthday cards for twins and sons girlfriend and getting nowhere fast so given upSo annoying when it all goes wrong........oh well, maybe tomorrow ?
Forgot to say the other day when we went to hospital on the way we went round a cheapy little shop and I picked up some pretty gardening gloves for £1 and a notebook I'll decorate for grandson (the one I did for hims a bit naff)............so I can do two more cobweb chasers with the gloves...............might keep one for myself:j
Really must get myself sorted............if OH's has to go for biopsy (which GP says he will) I need to be all ready just in case .................:rolleyes:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
