    Hello everyone!:santa2:

Mum2one - thank you for your kind words ((hugs))

I think some kind of scrapbook/photo album is a really good idea for Tony, so I will have to get my thinking cap on for that :undecided
    Good luck with that x

Not really done much the last few days as my little one has a nasty sick bug _pale_ which came on yesterday morning so have therefore been spending most of my time cleaning up as the poor litlle girl has been sick over 12 times in the last 36 hours!!!

Hope she goes on ok, have you got any rehdryation sachets, just try keeping her drinking, know when dd had bug like that back in June, the doc said keep her hydrated- doh what do you think we'd been doing.
Really hope she goes on ok

Also have a feeling that we are going to be moving house late nov/early dec so it's going to be a busy run up to xmas! We're currently living in shared temporary housing and there's a whole new system to getting a council house where you have to bid for a house you would like and you get 2 bids a week. We've been here 3 months and no luck as of yet but there has been a house come up this week which is in the ideal location for the kids schools etc and we are currently first on the list so have everything crossed that no one pops up before the closing date of next wed. If we stay top we then get to view it on nov 10th and then I don't know how long it will take to get a move in date. Moving before xmas is really not ideal but we really want that house so here's hoping no one else wants it who is higher up the list then us! :D
Keep fingers and everything else crossed for you, u def deserve it.

Anyway, sorry I'm going on! :odon't be daft, were all friends on here, and thats what were forxx
Hope everyone else is having a good few days :)

Hope your ok, and dd getting better, u take care xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Hi everyone, Have very nearly finished my Xmas shopping. Managed to get to town yesterday and get some chocolate coins, they were 97p a bag and bogof in Wilkinsons. Bought 4 bags. Found a nice small red china pot in the charity shop for 25p so came home and put the £50 worth of £2 coins in the bottom and filled it up with chocolate coins. Took 2 bags so have some left over. Have wrapped it in cello and tied some ribbon round. Just need to print out the label.

    That sounds fab
Also the silver egyptian pendant came yesterday which I ordered for daughter and I managed to get a nice chain for it up the town today for under a tenner (its quite a thick one as the pendant is big).
Got to be cheeky, did you get it locally to you, there amazing, got me + dd when I went to Egypt, long way to go for a pendant!

Have the money for her phone hidden away, just waiting for the cheque to come from Music Magpie as you have to top up £10 when you buy the phone.
Thats brilliant, she'll be so happy
Bought her some artist bits and pieces in 99p store earlier - drawing pencils and sketchbook in a pack, pack of different paint brushes and a set of acrylic paints.

Have ordered 4 more dvds from Amazon for OH with a voucher I got from Dooyoo yesterday.
He'll be to busy to cook xmas dinner - with all his presents.

Covered some cheap exercise books for nieces and nephews to go with their pen and ruler with their name on that I did for them and then wrapped them up in cello to look like a special pack.

    Still to get -

the Breaking Dawn book (waiting to see if the price goes down a bit before Xmas) and finish off the quilt for daughter, that will be her finished.

the dvd called The Take (Martina Cole) (waiting for price to go down on this too, has gone down on Play but not on Amazon yet) for OH, that will be him finished too.
Have you tried Asda, noticed it the other day in store, but can't remember the price, but have online as Asda do free delievery, or Tesco.com

Some bits from Tesco for a foody hamper for my bro and sil.

4 chocolate bars for nieces and nephews to go with their stationery.

2 selection boxes for the younger niece and nephew.

Also need some Cards as didnt get any in the sales. Have plenty of stamps though.

    Your going great guns, xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

MaryOP - So sorry your having a bad time. I totally understand your frustrations over waiting times etc for XRays and results. We are still waiting for our 18 month old dd EEG and MRI results and for a appointment at great ormond street! The Xrays were done beginining of Septemeber!
    Hope u get sorted soon,

Shevs - I love Panto. We saw Joe Pasquale (sp?) in cinderella couple years ago and it was soooooo funny! Saying that i might be glad of the 2 / 3 hours they are out at the Panto to get those last minute jobs done before Christmas. The Panto is book for the 20th Dec so kids on school hols the rest of the week.
Bet Joe Pasaqulae was fab, we've just had a new theatre built, so got the bloke who played Matthew King in Emmerdale, try not to drool, (worst we're in front row!
Going twice, dds ballet teacher in it, and she wants to see her, thats the excuse for booking twice, and we got them half price!
me + dd go mid dec, then xmas eve the 4 of us.

Mum2One - Well done for doing your OU exam. I bet the time will fly past for you to get your results with all the Christmas organising going on!
I'm dreading the results, get there,

98Dougal - Well done on the promotion.

Elyphant - Dont lurk feel free to join in. We are a friendly bunch X

DJStar80 - My fingers are crossed for you. I hope you get the house.

I have a busy weekend buying loads of bits to finish off presents and hampers. Anyone ideas what to use for a mobie hamper for my 12 yr old DS?? It has to hold a DVD, Big Aero bar, Packet sweets, Can of drink, Popcorn in cardboard popcorn container. Any ideas would be great and something maybe he can use again for storage or something.
Have you tried the £1 shop - they usually have a selection of storage.

I love Christmas movies and we have a whole shelf in our dvd unit dedicated just for the Crimbo movies!!!

I'd love a shelf of xmas dvds as soon as I get a space, dd always finds something to fill the gaps xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Picked up the boys' main pressies in Argos today and ordered the last one from Tesco so that's them sorted apart from a few arty bits I need to pick up.

Re postal strikes, there won't be any in December as the government have told Royal Mail they aren't allowed to ruin Christmas! There may be a few more before then though, quite possibly next Saturday. (My brother's a postie).

Thanks Mum2one for the Santa's challenge, my boys' room is smelling mouldy and I need an excuse to sort out under their beds. Toys I'm leaving until nearer the time but I do have a mental list of what's going... I love the pre xmas Toy Cull...

Thats brilliant news re Dec, - hope they get it sorted soon, thou my Capital One Bill still managed to wing its way to me!!xx

The toy-cull, def gd one, as anything bigger we put in the paper, our weekly paper comes on thurs, but when ur still getting calls on the Mon, - last thing of dds was a sandpit, apparently they were like gold dust, sounds daft but ask anything above £2 at a carboot world war 3 breaks out, but they pay through the adverts.

Good luck do the toy-cull discreetly, they know its missing! xx

    Hi girls,

I haven't been around for a while, just popped in for the latest challenge. I've discovered that earlier in the year I went into Christmas overdrive and I seem to have practically gone off it the closer it's getting. I've nearly given up the Houseworks 21 week plan, I think I was too ambitious with that.

Anyway, hope you are all doing well and enjoying the countdown.

Hi JaneLiz, hope you enjoy working on the challenges. They are good fun.

Hi mum2one I ordered the cartouche (pendant) from a site called the Egyptian Shop. It stated to expect 3 to 4 weeks for the item as it was made in Egypt and they had to wait for it but I got it within a week so very pleased with that. It was just under £25 inc postage and is supposed to be real silver. It looks lovely and is quite big.

As for the challenge I also have got off quite lightly.

Kids room - daughters room still looks nice as we have only just finished decorating and she is keeping it nice and tidy

Sell - have had another look for things to sell on Ebay but am running out until OH can get in the loft and sort that out

Save and recycle - same as above

Food cupboards, fridge and freezer - are all under control and tidy

Christmas dinner - I agree that its only sunday roast with some extra trimmings and OH always cooks it if he is not working which he isnt this year. Will probs do some of it the day before so we can visit my son on Xmas morning.

Christmas arrangements - these are just about done as we are having Xmas at home and going to my Dads on boxing day as the rest of the family go down to stay a few days. Will fit in a day before Xmas to have an early Xmas day with my other daughter and her children then they have their presents on that day. Have tos ee what shifts she is on as she is nursing now.

Emergency list - I have a lot of these numbers already on my phone

Postal strike - only have to post cards and will get them soon and get them written up and stamps on (already got the stamps) then they can be posted early December.

Promotions/offers - dont really need to get much else but always have a look anyway as might find something for next year

Hampers - I just need to make a food hamper for my bro and sil, so far have a bottle of some kind of salad dressing (liked the look of the label lol) and 2 bars of seeds of change chocolate. Just a few points away from getting a £10 Tesco voucher from Free Snaks so will be able to get some more bits with that.

Off to have a look at dvds on the Asda site xx

I put the clocks back and still got up normal time lol. Am going to eldest daughters in a bit as shes working today so sitting with the grandchildren. She has given me some money for helping her out which paid for having our gutter fixed in the week and I have £20 left to add on to my amount for Jammy's challenge on the other thread.
