mum2one - you've been so busy by the sound of it and well done taking your OU exam.............:T
got no nails, the results aren't due to mid Nov, the next exam June nxt yr (help!!)
Well, three more robins breakfasts done (only spilt the bird seed over the kitchen table once...........:rotfl:) I was so tired. Didn't sleep so well last night.........OH's had a few rough nights........last night he slep ok but I kept waking up to make sure he was.............how daft is that !! Hence I got up n****ered !!!
Hope he's ok, bet you were popular!!, def love those robin ideas, borrowing them for next year.
Had every intention of clearing out the pantry but to be honest just couldn't face it.............so, sitting down fiddling with flower pots was the easier option. I've done six now so think that'll do for this year............must do myself a timetable of 'stuff to do' -wrapping up grandsons pressies(the 16 year old), foster daughter need sorted and wrapping and foster lad who used to be here aways gets a box of bits...........need to sort his out.
They're all there, I know what they are and who's having what now -just a case of finishing it all off..................but not today...........dear me no....................lol (yawn -yawn.........)
You deserve an early night, were let you off the pantry, you've worked hard on the xmas prezzies.
Thats what we've started the whos got to have what presents, big wrap up session in Nov. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
mum2one,
Just sent you my answers. Can I just say you've done a fabulous job sorting all this out. Where would all us Christmas nutters (using the word "nutters" with affection, obviously :cheesy:) be without you.
I am being incredibly sad, listening to Xmas songs at work this afternoon. If only my colleagues knew!!
x
I confess I brought xmas dvds, for dd shes got Simpsons at Christmas, and I brought Micky Mouse and friends at Xmas, 4 stories. She had Stardust + Enchanted, as well, they were only £3 at Asda.

Anyway today I was greeted by mum2one's pm and thought I'd better climb back on board the Christmas wagon and carry on with organising.
Have ordered the rest of mum and brother's present from amazon using my £25 off lightspeed voucher spending a total of £59.92 instead of £84.92!
ETA - just priced up at full price on John Lewis and Argos and would have come to £114 saving £54.08 just think last year I would have bought them at this price and popped it on a CC. This year used a voucher earnt all year and got the lowest price I could and paid real money
Well pleased for a DAB radio and DAB alarm clock of v.nice quality
This means that their presents are practically done now :jand the banality of the surveys was worthwhile afterall!
Sorry about ex OH, you've done well with the xmas shopping, I would of been the same wack out the credit card and worry late, but now handing over vouchers, its such a warm feeling, and def money saving xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
:TCongratulations 98jdougl on the promotion!!! :T
I have been for my scan and have a cyst, although have to go back as they couldn't see the lining of my uterus (nice!!)
Never mind, I get paid tomorrow :j more money for me to spend on Christmas bits!!
It's weird I got a Hobbycraft promo through the door today (never had one before) and I was only talking about the crafty bits I needed to get for Christmas. (Maybe it's just me being really superstitious - have been lately)
Been invited to local boots event, it doesn't say what day it is, also lucky as have a few bits to buy from there
JS
xxxxI am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A0 -
Thanks for all he ideas for my liverpool theme- was planning eaying and wrapping tonight but my manager spoke to me at the endof my shift today asking if I would be interested in a promotion so off out to celebrate

Hi All
Been slightly AWOL lately but still busy planning Xmas
Think I will get the boys to sit down and write their Xmas lists this weekend but tell them they need to put the top 5 things they want each! with an 8 year old and a 5 year old that could be very costly indeed as it is! so I think that is what they can do on Sunday morning before I go to work - I have found a letter to Santa kit i brought last year so think I will let them use that. Then I can at least make a start on them! Although not entirely sure on what J's mum has told him about father Christmas so maybe I would be safer with Ben writing his letter to Santa instead being that hes 5 years old - saying that I could always suss J out on Saturday before work and see what he says. Not sure yet - either way though there will be one Xmas wish list done!
Still have a fair bit to get for finishing off hampers but nothing major which is nice. Have decided on a make your own wine kit for my dad though too so just need to buy that now. Although did start collecting wilkinsons stamps and have misplaced the book so need to fidn that at some point today.
Objectives for today are- find wilkinsons stamp book!
- go through Xmas stash
- Clean out the fridge (something does not smell good)
- Make a start on making Family Christmas Cards
- Make list of what I still need for hampers
- Cover nans diary/address book
- Do some Cross stitch for mums birthday
So i have a fairly busy day as well as the usual general cleaning (ie dishes, washing, sweeping, mopping etc) but I'll get there just need to have some will power to not sit on face book or You Tube all day!Time to find me again0 -
I'm off to poundland today because they now have a4 hardbacked notebooks and mykitten has destroyed my folder so shall be transferring everything to that. o
Really need to get on with my mum's christmas cross stitch- am going to a friends at some point today to watch dvds so may take it with me to plod through as I go.
Will poss also hit the charity shops quickly while I'm in town- our cat rescue (which is the cheapest one) has been putting out loads of the gift sets (obv ready for christmas) and I've snatched up a load0 -
Hi all just want to say well done on the promotion to 78doug (is that right?), and also send hugs to fedupandskint, mary-op and anyone else who is having a hard time at the moment. You know there's always support on here.
I would love this thread to continue next year, and hopefully will be with you and posting from the beginning - have been a real lurker this year but feel like I know you all!0
