Maybe you could get him a Liverpool Calendar on the cheap  Liverpool Mugs :confused:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Liverpool-F-C-Official-Money-Chocolates/dp/B001615FIY/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&s=toys&qid=1256146985&sr=8-22 I'm sure you could find these cheaper though. Check poundland and play or amazon they sometimes have good bits.

    Hello:rudolf:

Mumtoone - am I to late for the secret santa? Totally fine if I am to late as I saw on one of your earier posts to let you know by the 20th but just thought that I would ask :snow_grin

I'm also wondering if anyone could help me come up for an idea for my 'kind of' dad? It's a long story but bascially Tony was with my mum when I was 1 years old until I was 5 when she left him for another man. Tony always thought of me as his own daughter what with me being so young when he was with mum so years later he found me and has been a complete star ever since. :D He is amazing and treats me the same as all his other children and classes my girls as his own grandchildren.
The problem is I never know what to buy him for xmas as having never had a dad for most of my life I find it really hard. Also I can't afford to spend loads this year but I want him to know how much I care and respect him. I normally end up getting him the usual smellies and chocs etc but he has been such a rock for me this year I really want to get him something extra nice if you get what I mean  Any ideas would be most welcome!

Anyway, I'm now off to get the little one in bed and then i'm going to spend the evening updating my xmas notebook while hubby watches the football and the other 2 do their homework!

djstar - my kids look on my OH as their Dad -he's been around that long - and they just get him what they would normally get a Dad if you know what I mean.
You could do him a little scrapbook all about what a 'Dad' is...............I'm sure there's something on the internet that'll have quotes/saying like that.

Not sure what you have got in Liverpool themed ideas, but was in Sports Direct tonight and all the football merchandise is half price, there was Liverpool, Man U, and a couple of other teams, in our store they were by the cash desk.

There was puzzles football grounds, mugs, football shaped money boxes, quite a selection.

Thank you everyone, just having one of those wobble moments, would say it was time of the month, but without sounding daft + stupid, I had my 1st OU exam yesterday, 1st exam in 21 years, 3 hrs long, although I've passed the course work side, its only 50% the exam is pass, resit the exam, or mess up and its a whole 9mths course again.

    Ok today.xx

(so sorry for being a soppy sod xx

    Xmas Saver!
Got my first batch of xmas prezzies ready to wrap, were off down Devon, so all there presents need to go down.

The ents team - little present off dd, (known most of them couple of years)

    3 lads - earrings + body moistisuer + shave lotions - all in sale (£1.50) £4.50

The poor lady in reception, she does all our bookings, the lady who use to look after us retired, so another woman said, I'll look after you, (becoz of mum not being very mobile - theres only a few caravans we can go in becoz most of the showers are like a mini bath - she can't step over without help,- we all know bathrooms in caravans never very big)
we're doing her an avon naturals bottles, scrubber, £3.00

The site mgr - he always reduces the price - (he's mad on steam trains) - got bone china train mug, train calender, mini bottle wine, oversized wine glasses (holds a bottle of wine) little message - oops think I've got these the wrong way round!! £6.50

His dog - bowl and blanket - £2.00

Our friends, dd calls them aunty + uncle
her - Boots set in Jan sale, sarong towel (halfcost), make ur own jewellery set (argos product but in halfcost), £4.00

him - 2 mini bottles malt (got 4 mini bottle set from m+s sale reduced to £3 instead of £12, there do 2 people), and got hipflask, but its keyring size (£1.00 shop in Blackpool) - £2.50

Aunty Bev - posh boots toilettry set, (sale) £3.00, bra + knickers smellies (recycled), boxer keyring (free - found it in a mug we brought, stuck at back in the box, got £4.99 price tag) - £3.00

Then the cottage were staying at (after the caravan holiday) the lady always does us a discount - (more xmas presents)

Her - Santuary mini gift set - Was £10 Boots - came free with a promotion

    hubby 2 b- Polo Wallet + Keyring set (halfcost) - £1.00

son - (he's a yr older than dd, so they go feeding the chickens and wandering around - told her to keep in with him - marry into money!!)
    Hot-wheels, (bogof Argos promo last yr), 2 x metal kits make a jeep, + car - £2.00

daughter (18mths), wtp book (new 33p - Market in Devon), wtp trinket box had her name on it £1.00, fairy plate + dish (50p - Tesco sale), cultery set (99p B+M) - £2.82

the lady at the travelodge - (shes always puts us on ground floor, turns a blind eye when a certain 4 legged dog walked past) - 4 tubes Elle Mcpherson toilettries - Sale - £2.80

    grand total £32.34 - 17 people.

To me its a little thank you for everything people have done for us throught-out the year,
The site mgr, last yr we did a little mix + match foodie bag, mini jams, mug, drinks sachets, only a couple of quid, - he's late 40s, workaholic, just him + his dog. He said he'd been family for xmas lunch, came home, apart from a couple of presents from colleagues, he opened ours and just couldn't believe how much trouble we'd gone to. To me it was just a thank-you for everything. I guess a little thing goes a long way.
