    So much to catch up on with this thread! You girls are so chatty!

    Up early today because of the clocks and all I have done is waste the time on the computer! Oh well.

    Off to do the last of my shopping today with my mum. Only got lots of little bits and pieces to get to bring everything together and then I should be done (fingers crossed).

    Have a good day everyone,

    Love

    Hi All

    Well I've been through my Xmas boxes yesteday and have found lots fo things i had totally forgotten I'd brought - although am slightly stumped cos i know i brought the book of the snowman and now cant find it but am happy to say i am ahead of myself as far as bens shopping is concerned which is nice as i was panicking a bit about his stuff

    Owen has given me a small list of things he wants and that comes to about £110 which is ok with a few little treats here and there he is easily sorted.

    Ben however did his Christmas list with me yesterday morning and it came to £497!!!!! but I have cut it back to £200 (we have agreed this for each boy this year) so that's not too bad and I have picked up a few bits for an Xmas eve hamper for Ben and gotten a few pieces together already for him - little bits - so he shouldn't need much more and some of the things are re gifted from last year that I gave him and he never played with (like a spider man mug and hot chocolate set - going to replace the hot chocolate sachets inside and he can have that in his Xmas eve hamper then . He also had two small Lego sets which were in his stocking which i think ill put in there again for him - he didn't even open the box last year so why waste them? He also wants a police station Lego set which is in Argos for £30+ but in Wilkinson's there is a very similar one for £19.99 at half price so might see if i can get him that one instead.

    So all in all a fairly productive day yesterday - just need to sit down and go over a few bits and pieces now and get on with making things and finishing gifts off now.

    Have cut bens wishlist down to the following

    Lego Police Station - is £35 in Argos but similiar one in wilkos for £19.99
    Jungle Fury Megazord £24.49
    Dinosaur King figures/mini roboraptor - 2 for £15 in Argos
    Ben 10 digital camera £34.99
    Kevin Levins Car - £29.49
    Alien Creation Chamber £28.99
    Mega Jam Air Jumper £12.49
    Gator Golf £14.97
    Ben 10 figures x 2 £3.99 each in B&M
    Jigsaws

    The above list comes to about £198 but I have a few bits for him already like
    * a cup and ball toy
    * 3 story books
    * spiderman art set
    * Ben 10 carry pack
    * 2 Ben 10 click together aliens
    * Bowling game (reduced in Ethol Austin from £5 down to £1.25)
    * A kite (£1 in EA)
    * a small lego tow truck
    * a small lego police car

    and his Xmas Eve Hamper already consists of

    * Big Xmas story book from Home Bargains
    * Santa Kay
    * Letter To santa set
    * Santa call her window sticker/door hanger etc
    * Rudolph the red nosed reindeer DVD
    * The Snowman book - when i find it! :mad:
    * Spider man mug (for benji)
    * Xmas Cups (to use for santas drink)
    * Xmas bowl (to use for santas biscuits)
    * Red Fleece
    * Money Wallet

    Just need to put
    * money in the wallet now for carrots/milk/biscuits
    * some sweets for the movie
    * another movie
    * a stocking
    * some pyjamas

    So I actually think Im more ahead with Bens shopping than I first though - just need the money now to buy his bits and pieces but should have an extra £120 in my wages this month so most of that will get done.

    Really should check how much of the other gifts i need to do first though. :eek: btu am getting there with my mums cross stitch for her birthday - only really got a days work of sewign to do if i pulled my finger out and did it - but not sure how much of that ill manage with ben off but i have promised him a trip to the local soft play place on Tuesday or Wednesday so might take it with me then

    so will crack on with the challeneges later on!
    Time to find me again

    Getting back to normal now, got a brand new TO DO LIST :j just need to start crossing things off it now (i love doing that too)

    Going to Iceland today to get the christmas joints as I cleared the freezer before we went away, so they can all go in the bottom before I start filling it up again, got a few jobs to do for my mum at her house so will have to get my finger out and stop wasting time on the computer drinking cups of COFFEE lol....

    Hope everyone is having a lovely sunday

    Hi girls,

    I haven't been around for a while, just popped in for the latest challenge. I've discovered that earlier in the year I went into Christmas overdrive and I seem to have practically gone off it the closer it's getting. I've nearly given up the Houseworks 21 week plan, :mad: I think I was too ambitious with that.

    Anyway, hope you are all doing well and enjoying the countdown.

    Hi JaneLiz, hope you enjoy working on the challenges. They are good fun.

    Me too! I started, managed 3 weeks then conveniently forgot all about it... maybe next year!
    June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

    Sarah, I love having a to-do list but unlike you tend to sit there looking at it and wishing I had a house elf to help me out. :rolleyes:

    ragz - I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I found that plan overwhelming to do in one week.

    I also got 'planning overdose' because I was also doing the OC Rudolph club as well as the Santa challenges here plus OC have an additional 3 part email planner. Now wonder I was going slightly mad.....................LOL

    i found the grand plan a challenge last year and really couldn't keep up with it, this year i have just split the house up room by room with jobs to do and then a main list that i can add too, that way i can do what i feel when i feel like it with out the pressure of it having to be done this week:eek: i got so frustrated with it last year i felt burnt out by january. i feel i'm getting there this year though.
