Ok i was a tinsey wincey bit naughty today, kind of mse a bit expensive. Went Christmas Window Shopping today, so i was just scouting around a bit. Anyways i went into Boots and picked up a gift guide (i know naughty me didn't have one sooner) and saw a No7 Mens Skin Care and Shaving Set for £40!! had a look round the shop and spotted a carousel stand with loads on, i sidled over to have a look and they were £20!! Half price. I got 80 boots points and a £5 off No7 gift voucher and the best part about it was Dad paidgreat Christmas present for uncle.
thats brilliant, think its the offer of the week, they change on a fri, grab early.
Looking in the catalogue for the remaining gifts to buy for, not many now
Also speakers arrived from MinistryofDeals only paid £4.00 was good value so thats my grandad finished.
Does anyone know how long Toluna vouchers take to arrive?
Thanks
JS
xx
Toluna vouchers, I think its called pigeon post, or whatever postal service they use (come from Belgium), mine took 7 or 8 weeks.
I had the £12 Love to shop.
Think its Sarah who ordered an e-voucher, and that took almost as long. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Shevs - like the 'woodland' idea............and feel free to use it ...........OH's thought of it and he's not well(waiting for CT scan so bit down) so its perked him up to know his little idea has been popular.:j
Tell OH he is wondeful, if you don't mind I'll borrow the idea and see if I can get the kids at school to do some for the xmas fayre.

Well done mum2one, you have done really well so far.
I was talking to OH last night about getting my daughter a phone for xmas as some of you may remember she lost the one she had for her birthday the same week she got it. I have my stash of £2 coins that I can use but havent told OH about them yet, was just asking his opinion on the phones. Anyway the answer was if I am getting her a new phone then he wants one too but he wont be happy with a cheaper model, asked him to show me what he would like and they are all about a £100.
Well, this morning I had a thought that I could put £50 worth of £2 coins in a pot and cover them in chocolate coins and make it into a pot of gold. Have been toying with a poem since I was awake and have come up with this one -I give to you this pot of gold
Before you open do as told
Make a wish and you may find
Not all coins are chocolate kind
They are for you and you alone
To help you get your brand new phoneWhat do you all think? Thought it might keep the peace as I really dont want to pay out more than that as I have already bought some dvds with Amazon vouchers.
As for daughters phone. I have seen one on the Argos website for £39.99, its on Orange and its called the Vegas. It has a touch screen so thought this would be quite novel for a 14 yr old but can't find any reviews on it so does anyone have one or know someone who has one who can tell me what they are like for a teenagers phone please?
Tomorrow when I have the house to myself I will get a knife and try to slide all the coins out of the money box (its a sealed one and dont want to open it if I can help it as its quite a small size and havent seen them that size since I got it and its easier to hide away).0 -
Thats absolutely amazing, the fox sounds a right softie xx
He or she has been coming round since they were a cub for the last 2/3 years or so. we know its him cos he's a brown colour not an orangy colour like the other foxes that come through and has a white patch on his back. First noticed him cos he came right up to the patio windows bold as brass having a good nosey. We leave him a bit of cat food out at winter, We know he gets it most of the time cos we see him eaing it, but think he might have some competition from the local cats that pass through, we know no other foxes get it cos no others get that close to the house.0 -

Thats a lovely idea over the phone, hope you don't think I'm being cheeky, but £100 is a lot for a phone, (esp as she lost one).
You mention the "Orange Vegas", had a look and it looks brilliant, to be I use 2 phones, both pay +go, both phones dies typucal, just replaced main - got Samsung Genie £80, rush purchase, but my spare phone, looked in Argos catalogue, and they have some really descent phones for £40.00 mark, I'm looking for vodaphone, but there were 3 at £40, they have the same stuff that I paid £150 phone 18 mths ago.
I'd def look at the £40 bracket, they've got video, mms, text, cals, camera etc.
What about buying her a phone, but love the idea of the pot of gold, but change the message slightly toI give to you this pot of gold

But they brought your brand new phonexx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Lovely idea of the pot of gold for a phone...........:T
Well, two more shoe boxes done - had to re-arrange sons so everything would fit in.........now thats him and his girlfriends christmas and birthday all 'ribboned up' ready to go. Quick look at other son and his girlfriend and they're about done -just need ribbon...............then its foster daughters, friends, and teenage grandchildrens birthday and christmas..........thats the heap that's the chaotic one on the spare bed..............:rotfl:
Few more bits that are wrapped -foster daughters husband and another foster lad we used to have
I was asking about digital photo frames on here not so long back and put there were some on amazon.........not sure whether I need to get just the photo frame or one with a memory thingy to go with itIt's for eldest son -he's got computer, digital camera and all that stuff so do I need the memory thingy ?
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

mum2one, it was OH who wants a £100 phone lol, he was saying that if I can buy her one then I can buy him one too. The orange vegas one is for my daughter and its £39.99. As you say I am not paying out a lot in case it goes missing again. I wouldnt have bought the last one it was OH who thought it a good idea for her birthday.
The pot of gold is for him with the £50 in as I cant afford to give him £100. Then he can choose his own phone and put the rest to it after Xmas.0
