They also do a navy tool pouch that you wear round your waist (no photo on the website), I've bought one for my uncle as he's a tradesman/decorator and in each pouch I'm going to put different sweets in, I'm gloing to include a yorkie bar as their slogan is "not for girls" and I'll put a pack of chocolate coated peanuts etc as they are his favourites.

I am still lurking but I am gradually posting around the threads more, I'm obsessed. I have bought quite a few pressies for Xmas all with money saved, no credit cards have been touched. I am saving up all amazon vouchers from surveys and dooyoo to get an iPod nano for my 7 year old daughter for Xmas, she loves music and gadgets, I didn't even know the laptop had a camera until she showed me. I have bought a games table for £85, the 10 in 1 that have pool, table football, air hockey etc, it said the rrp was £189 or something like that, this is also for my daughter. My son has a train set from toys r us, my husband is getting a playtable of his boss at work so we are setting it up on this. I have also got sons birthday presents and most of his Xmas presents now. Have ideas for hampers for rest of family, I will post later and explain them, just trying to get son to bed, my iPod touch is a godsend.

thanks for mentioning M&S I love their bubble bath but only buy it on sale :p.

Have made a pink hamper this week for friends birthday on Sunday with bits and pieces picked up over the year. Plus printed off newspaper cover for her with her age on - if I'm not here after Friday you'll know she's done something nasty to me ;)

Also got a free wallchart from the Times showing premiership fixtures for 09-10 that will do for part of DS birthday plus the newspaper cover saying he's been signed to Man U - expect he'll want the new kit - has anyone seen them with offers anywhere?

Have I missed any challenges? Done freezer and school uniform. And of course several bars of chocolate :rotfl:

Depends on his age, I got the away one (black one) for £27.99 full kits for 2 of my DS's aged 6 and 4, but my 8 y/o is nearly double that price at JJBsports. HTH

hey all, new here quick question.

    my situation is this:
i moved out of my parents place earlier this year, want to make this xmas memorable but need to watch my money as well, my ideas so far are:
    money target £150
    quidco earnings so far £47

broke down as £100 for presents for parents (possibly a little lcd tv)
    £20 for housemate's present
and then a bit extra if i end up buying for her family and of course bottle of brandy for my mum cos i am staying there xmas day night and its cheaper than a taxi home

any ideas how to earn the extra £100 between now and dec?

Thanks for that - he'll be 12 but other than his xbox all he's interested in is football :D. He's already started grunting rather than speaking :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

    Hi before Hollywood,

You can earn the money you need just from cashback sites, I earnt about £150+ from doing the free trials, bingo etc, I used 2 cashback sites. Also try dooyoo, you write good reviews and get paid for it. There is a thread on it.

    Ok, here are the ideas for my hampers;

Husbands parents-theatre hamper, I am going to get theatre tokens but I am stuck on what else to add.

My parents- a mish mash of things they like hamper

Nephew- movie hamper, going to get a lovefilm voucher plus the usual popcorn etc. I bought a nice retro looking popcorn box to put it all in.

Neice-Games hamper, going to get giftcard from game, not sure what else yet.

Neice-make up and hair products hamper, very easy to find bits for this.

Neice-make up etc, but she is also pregnant and due Christmas day, don't know whether to add anything to help with baby, she is only 16, just a baby herself and I haven't accepted it yet, I don't agree with it. So I am not sure what to do here, it makes me uncomfortable. If I gave her some money to help then her mum would probably spend it, or she would on clothes, I guess I could give a mothercare voucher, but they would probably sell that aswell.

    That's all my hampers.

For nans and grandads I am doing a traditional photo album, not a photobook, but the old ones where you stick the pictures in. They always complain that they don't see the kids.
  • thanks for the links and ideas - i like the box from the pound shop - will have to have a look....

could you do her a hamper of baby things like nappies, wipes, vests, baby grow, bubble bath, cotton wool etc etc - they are things you cant have to many of and that she will need....
