Just had to have a try at wrapping some of my completed pamper hampers - did 2 out of the 5 and quite pleased with the results. Have taken photographs so will put on the appropriate thread when I figure out how to do it

OH was very complimentary although I think he was just happy I was out of the way so he could watch the athletics in peace!

This the gift in a jar thread form organized christmas - they look pretty and they are mostly dried ingredients so they will last a fair while provided the ingredients are in date. :D also they have labels with instructions to print off too. x

Iolanthe - reindeer/snowman poop - its chocolate covered raisins that can be put into a small bag/pot/tub and it is a little joke present that you can eat.
snowman soup - is a hot chocolate drink with marshmallows in it. :D

rufusd!!!2 - well done on your find, hope hubby likes i and congratulations on your anniversary. x

Thanks to everyone else for the well wishes - I am ok this end - I think everyone is expecting me to be a quivering wreck in the corner but now I'm getting 'your coping too well....' comments. There seems to be a lot of people wanting to molly cuddle me too which is sweet but weird at the same time. My mum has the to the point approach (shes half scottish/half irish so not a pushover) . She was sympathetic and supportive but she's taking me out tomorrow shopping for school uniform for Ben because I have to do it. My mother in law is tending to not mention it (it upsets her too as she lost a baby at full term) so its not mentioned really with her although I know she understands what im feeling if i do need to talk) Boyfriend seems to be busying himself in work to keep his mind occupied. His boss offered him two days off paid which he politely declined as he doesn't want to dwell on it - he's not the type to sit/cry and talk about things - he'd rather deal with it himself and not risk upsetting others - mainly me.
Did have a few shaky moments yesterday when my body seemed to be correcting itself (im aware its 7.30am so wont go into detail incase your all reading whilst eating breakfast!:eek::eek::eek:) but im now hoping my scan on Monday will be clear as I seemed to lose a lot of 'stuff' yesterday. so fingers crossed.

I've done no cross stitch since Monday so must crack on with a bit of that - might sit down and get a fair bit done tonight - OH ******************************** PICTURE!!!! Right I will take one today - I will take one today. Must get cracking on it though as time is running out - we are now under 130 days (ok so its 129 in fact but still ) its getting closer

Anyone have any experience of the kiddi cameras (the digital ones for kids that are drop proof) my 5 year old has taken to photography (his father does it too) and I was thinking of getting him one of these as he loves it when we go away with daddy and grandad because they are both keen photographers he gets to use their cameras and i thought it would be nice to have his own camera so he can take his own pictures but not sure how child friendly they are.

    Hi All

Also want to pick your brains

Due to a few family issues - my cousin Nats who is 17..............18............. has moved in with my sister (she's 22) and has two small kids. Well come Xmas day they will all be together for the day and I don't like the idea of my cousin not having anything to open but I'm not sure what to do for her.

She's had a hard time the last few years, her parents splitting up, her mum remarrying a guy who wasn't keen on her and then when her two younger siblings came along she was sort of pushed out of the picture and left to fend for herself.

Was thinking I might do her a little make up bag with a few freebie bits I can pick up and my boyfriends ex partner has just started doing body shop at home so might get a few bits through her too - it helps my step son out a bit then too.

Any other ideas what I could give her? I've got bits for a smellies hamper for my sister

I bought Steve Wright's Factoids for 99p at the Works for my brother's hamper and one of the facts says 'A woman spends an average of 13 whole days preparing for Christmas'. Hmmm. That must make us all above average! :rotfl:

Well Ive never been considered normal anyway!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

maybe he means women take 13 days off from preparing for Christmas and it was just a misprint.
