    Thanks all

£40 we usually budget in a month

Main goals for today though are
    1. to get some more cross stitch done.
    2. Post picture of cross stitch
    3. dishes
    4. bedding stripped, washed and dried.
    5. Dig out Christmas card making bits and make a list of what I've got.

I can't speak from experience Sammy but well done for keeping busy and occupied and you are blessed to have Ben.

I have to ask - how on earth do you spend just £40 on food a month?! What is your secret?!

    Hello, hello, hello,

Well I found this thread 3 days ago and have finally read it beginning to end. I have smiled when good news was announced :D and cried with the bad news :(. This seems like a really friendly thread. Please can I join in. Have made a folder (a novice attempt - nothing as posh as posted on here!). I have 40 people to buy for  with a budget of £550 (that was a shock as well!). OH very impressed that I am already planning xmas.
Just to let you know that M&S are doing a 3 for 2 deal on some of their toileteries. Bought 6 bottles of stuff (shower gel, body lotion etc) for £3.88 yesterday. :j

The website I was thinking of yesterday was www.buyithere.co.uk - 36m wrapping paper for £11, and I added a DVD and a CD for myself to make the delivery free. There'll be 6 of us for Christmas, so I wanted to have everyone's gifts in a different kind of paper to minimise the labels I was using.

And if anyone's buying vouchers, Clinton's Cards are selling two £15 iTunes vouchers for £20.

Thanks for these fab deals SugarSpun, I've just spent £37 on the buytithere website and saved over £70!

Glad to hear the little one is doing well,

    Hi all !
Quite pleased with myself today - finished off sons partners door hanger and the little flannel cake I've done (thanks to flourgirl:T) Took me an age to roll two flannels together to make them fit but I did it in the end.
Finished off little pots of coffee mixes............filled them all up and put them in a gold coloured gift box I found, topped it up with extra sugar sachets, chocolate sprinkles, serviettes with coffee cup on them and little booklet explaining the ingredients -all tied up with a brown ribbon and box - looks better than it is....lol:rotfl:
Total cost about £1.25 -I'd already got the box, ribbon, choc.sprinkles and serviettes.
Think that'll be it for today.............unless I think of something else thats quick and easy............its too hot to do a lot.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

thanks for mentioning M&S I love their bubble bath but only buy it on sale :p.

Have made a pink hamper this week for friends birthday on Sunday with bits and pieces picked up over the year. Plus printed off newspaper cover for her with her age on - if I'm not here after Friday you'll know she's done something nasty to me ;)

Also got a free wallchart from the Times showing premiership fixtures for 09-10 that will do for part of DS birthday plus the newspaper cover saying he's been signed to Man U - expect he'll want the new kit - has anyone seen them with offers anywhere?

Have I missed any challenges? Done freezer and school uniform. And of course several bars of chocolate :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
