:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: that is the danger of the OC website. I tend to get sucked into the money saving page a lot! Although I find Magical Holiday Home - the new residential chat room for old OC members is just as deadly! :eek:Time to find me again0 -

Also want to pick your brains
Due to a few family issues - my cousin Nats who is 17..............18............. has moved in with my sister (she's 22) and has two small kids. Well come Xmas day they will all be together for the day and I don't like the idea of my cousin not having anything to open but I'm not sure what to do for her.
She's had a hard time the last few years, her parents splitting up, her mum remarrying a guy who wasn't keen on her and then when her two younger siblings came along she was sort of pushed out of the picture and left to fend for herself.
Was thinking I might do her a little make up bag with a few freebie bits I can pick up and my boyfriends ex partner has just started doing body shop at home so might get a few bits through her too - it helps my step son out a bit then too.
Any other ideas what I could give her? I've got bits for a smellies hamper for my sister0 -
rufusd!!!2 wrote: »Hi Sammy - I did a make up bag of bits for my younger daughter for her birthday and bought some makeup bits from Boots after someone on here (think it was Jammy) telling me about their Naturel range. Most of the bits were only £1 each and they had lovely colours and would suit your young cousin's age group. Might be able to get a few bits to go with the freebies.
Thanks Rufus - I'm not even sure how many boots points I have on my card - I'll have to have a look - sure i could get a few bits and pieces with them. Think Ethol Austin usually have small make up sets etc in there sale pack and reduced down if you spend £X - either way I have a fair few pairs of pyjamas i need to buy so might do that craftily and see if i can get a couple of bits and pieces. Was thinking I might include a few face masks as well and she can always sit and enjoy them with my sister then or treat herself.
Just noticed you name is !!!!!! out when i try to leave a comment fro you - its not naughty though?Time to find me again0 -

Thanks for the avon competition! I’ve entered so fingers crossed!
Sammy – I like your attitude to it all. Good for you hun.
Your cousin – does she like films? I’m just thinking of things she might want to do to get away from the little ones in the house – so if she has a DVD player in her room, you could go a ‘girls night in’ type hamper with pamper stuff, chocolate, a film, candles….. I would have loved that at that age. Or maybe would she appreciate a bit of out-of-the-house pampering? Or is there any specific likes/hobbies she has?
Cross stitch – I’m going to get back into this!! I ordered some aida and 20 blank cross stitch cards (10 green, 10 red) for about £10 from Ebay, so the plan is to do some Christmas cards for family and friends who will actually appreciate it!! Lol Have also found loads of free Christmas designs (card size) to go along with the designs I already had in my books – mainly so I don’t get bored doing them!! Plus I want to do a thank you card for the parents in law, and I’m going to order 2 bookmarks to make for my mum and hubby’s aunt for Christmas. I might also have to do an engagement card soon for our friends if everything works out ok!!! Hehe
Oh…and I’ve still not defrosted the freezer.I WILL though!!! Promise! (It needs it!!)
Btw, it's probably really simple to do, but I can't see how yet.....how do I add a signiture?!?! Or is it something that's only avaialble once you've reached a certain number of posts?
