**"tq16; I have got 40 pressies to do."**
Does the 40 pressies represent 40 people to buy for, that is alot, i use to buy for loads of neices, nephews, aunties, uncles etc etc, i have a very large family, but about 2-3 years ago i stopped, i thought enough is enough, i got no thanks for it, so now i buy for my son and daughter, husband, mum and dad, husbands mum and dad, nans and grandads, 4 neices and 2 nephews, and thats it.
I agree I have 14 on my list Thats mum, dad, step mum, step brother, step sister, sister, 2 nieces, nan, grandad, auntie+uncle, 2 cousins, step nan+grandad - although 4 of those are cards with money in and 2 are cards only and photo of my son.
Then boyfriend has 10 to buy for.
oh and 10 pets but they are fairly cheap.
Only problem is I LOVE Christmas cards and between family, nonnymouses and a christmas card swap on Magical Holiday Home I think I am up to 59 Christmas cards to send! and that's still not including Bens school friends, family and friends I see regularly or work mates - so there's another 25 for my work, 25 fro his school and 15 for friends I see!! so that's about 124 christmas cards!
Also i have finally gotten around to my picture taking for you so here goes.
This is the diary, paper, ribbon and flowers to decorate the diary for my nan with.
Brought this photo album and ribbon today to decorate it with and one of the flowers from the diary kit and possibly some purple ribbon too.
this is the flowers that I plan to use
and this is the infamous cross stitch that has been 15 years in the doing - I'm about 3/4 done now so just going for the final push but found out today that the craft shop I use deals with the framers regularly so I can go through them so wont have to worry about dates to pick it up etc.
Right now hope those pictures worked and arent too big!Time to find me again0 -
Hello all !
Thanks for the ideas elyphant.............must make a list.....we've got a local toy shop that might just have something.
Been making some little seed packets for foster daughter...........not too sure about them. Hadn't really got the right paper but I know someone else who'd maybe appreciate them.
Saw some lovely paper in local craft shop the other day and could kick myself for not getting it. Think I'll have to pop down tomorrow.
Apart from that, not a lot of 'crafty' stuff done -oh, did make a birthday card for lad we foster...........apart from that been really lazy:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I'm just joining in on this thread and I don't know if this is worth posting or not but I was in Poundland the other day and they had High School Musical 3 and Ben 10 pencils, the big thick tall pencils (if you know what I mean?) with a rubber on the end. I thought they would be a good little extra for kids Christmas stockings??? What do you think?0

the year before last i had 14 to buy for not including dh and kids or inlaws as dh pays for them. but i got married last december so money was tight and i had a word with people about the presents we buy eachother
. i was spending £20 on bro n sister, £10 on their partners and £40 on my little brother, 2 nephews and niece
we decided to not buy for those with kids at xmas so that saved £60 and decided to half what we spend on the kids so now thats only £80 instead £160
then with one friends kids i was spending about £20 on each (2) that was halfed
another friends dd was halfed to £20
and my cousin and i decided we would only buy each others kids on birthdays as we each have 2 and was sspending £10 per child
so that saved £200!! everyone was more than happy to do this and after xmas we decided to carry it on every year.
i also have birthdays in xmas to buy for which was totaling another £100 and we halfed these aswell for all the kids birthdays (they do the same for my kids)
so my total saved was £250 which was a huge relief! due to a new addition i will need to spend an extra £10 on 1 present for my frineds new dd and buy a £5 box of chocs for my dads gf but im still a lot up!
when i broached the subject with people they were all in the same boat, really struggling with xmas, birthdays and my wedding so everyone was happy!
i would recommend anyone with lots to buy for to suggest this0 -
just realised i added that up wrong! and cba to work it out properly lmao0
