I used to work for this company and a few home truths for you.
Claims take between 6-12 months and very often gets thrown out of Fin Obudsman.
Does not repair credit rating, in fact you end up with a default.
regualted by ministry of justice but not enforced by them.
Director of company opens company for 2 years then closes it and starts a new company owing clients their money back and screwing staff over0 -

Corrections, claims take more than 12 months and when you ask for your money back they say they have to deduct £50 per hour for work they already done. Even when they havent done anything.
My brother works for them now and he advised me that it is the biggest scam! there is no way they can get you money back if your credit card company increased your credit limit without you knowing.
Not only that, but they will hold on to your money for a long time before they give it back. I previously filed my claim with TUCAN CLAIMS and when I wanted to cancel after 14 months of no success, they refused to refund my money. It was my brother that told me to threaten them with the MOJ, thats how I had my money back.
Reclaim your PPI on your own through the FOS. its easy and you do less work than doing it with con artist Tucan Claims!!0 -
Toucan Claims cold called me beginning of December 2010 and a sales guy called Tyrone told me that they could go through all the agreements back to 1995 and claim back PPI on settled agreements and write off existing debt. I have at least £40k worth of debt and so this was very tempting for me. I paid the £250 on credit card, got the paperwork back to them and I got a letter promising me someone in their legal team would contact me within 14 days.
To date I have had no contact from the legal team. Everytime I phone them I am on hold and I give up. Longest I've been on hold is 35 minutes.
I did get an email from them though asking for a copy of my credit report and I have asked them why they need to see my credit report when they said they would do all the work for me.
I will wait to see what happens but please do not pay firms like these by checque/debit card. Always pay on credit card because if they don't deliver you can dispute the transaction and get your money back which you cannot do on debit card.
I'll keep you posted but it looks like I'll be putting in a dispute claim in to Visa!!!
Guys what goes around comes around. Go out to rip people off and it will come back to you multiplied!

But isn't that exactly what you set out to do to your own creditors.....rip them off?
It's seems to me that you are 100% correct - what went around came around.0 -

oh the irony.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Cowboys who make unsolicited phone calls, asking for me by name when I am on TPS!!!! Left him talking till he ran out of steam and realised I wasn't going to respond. I'm surprised he didn't realise when he heard me doing the washing up in the kitchen!:j0

I worked there and know the truth
they dont get your money back and pocket the £250 you give them, they change their company holding name every 2 years so no money can be traced or got back
never work there as they do not pay the staff for training
they lie on the phone to clients saying it will be sorted within 12 weeks, it never gets sorted out0 -
I bet you work for them0

I had a call just now, (you know the one -starts of with i am not trying to sell you anything) they knew the name to go with the phone number.
I am registered with the TPS and asked how they got my name and what their address was so that I could contact the MD and make a formal request for the source of their data.
It took some time to get the address out of him, as all he wanted to do was to delete me from their database. However, I insisted that that was not enough and enjoyed myself for a few minutes by making the guy squirm a bit as I took over asking the questions and refused to be fobbed off, until eventually he gave me the address, and then I inisted on the postcode, all of which I could easily of got by "googling" their name.
I then went on to saynoto0845 and got their 0800 phone number so that I could call them back without incurring 0844 charges and just for fun, I tried calling them back on the 0800 number rather than the publicised 0844 number and guess what. I got what was obviously an attempt at a revenue generating hold and listen to music call.
Just hope thay had to pay for the 0800 call ;-)
Did I really intend to make an official complaint regarding the TPS and the source of data? Nah. of course not, I was just having a bit of fun making the perpetrator of an obvious scam call squirm at bit.0 -
Tucan Claims managed to harass my mum until she gave all 4 credit card details. She is not money-savvy and a little naive. The perfect Tucan Claims victim!
They reassured her they wouldn't take any money - simply just send a pack through the post. They have since taken £249.99 from EACH card.
I have sent a cancellation letter on her behalf, also emailed 6 times, and called around 8 times. First time it took 10 minutes to get through but the woman hung up on me as she was 'checking notes'.
Then all attempts after that were unsuccessful. I spent £70 waiting on hold to this damn company.
So - Please don't bother. They're rip off merchants.
I am physically going in to their offices this week.0
