I have been to my sisters and I have scrounged a plastic kilner-style bottle with a little silver coloured plastic scoop. It held dolly mixture and I figured she'd only throw it away...
Now I can wash it out, remove the label and fill it with

i have also picked up some books from sainburys for my mum, 2 pricess books from tesco for my neice , some wwe wrestling figures for my son and i am now lloking for some vintage perfume bottles for my mum...
my sister is the most difficult person to buy for ever ! she is allergic to every cream soap and spray going, only wears platinum jewellery and wears expensive clothes, i hate buying for her and hate her buying for me, ahe always gets me things that she likes, like last xmas she asked me what i wanted and i said maybe some nice cardies (i live in cardiagans ), she knows i hate the colour red and that it does not suit me so she went out and bought me 2 jumpers in RED! she said if i didnt want them then she would have them.......................
oooohhh, i also bought my cone bags, hot chocolate, choc chips and marsh mellows for my snow man soup.
sorry for the rant but my sister has been round today and bought up what i wanted for xmas

You should tell her pointedly that you would like gift cards this year so you can actually get something you like instead of something you hate that she's going to scrounge back off you anyway, the blimmin cheek! Or make her a lovely pamper basket with soaps and creams, then turn around and say 'if you're not going to use it, I might as well have it' :rotfl:D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0

My sister will be celebrating her birthday and I'm bringing her a chocolate. I would like to know your opinion on what chocolate taste best. I saw this Cadbury Chocolate Eclairs from A Quarter Of website, they look delicious. Thanks! :A0

Im doing a ben 10 hamper for my DS not sure wheter he's getting it for his birthday in november or xmas. will decide nearer the time.
I have picked up loads of ben 10 stuff from B&m and got a few bits in tesco's today which were technically free. Mr T sent me a £8 off £80 spend voucher so i got a ben 10 DVD for £6.71 and it also had 200 points which is £8 in deals towards our wedding rings.
In fact his hamper box is almost finished as i cant fit anymore in it so i might post a picture. Have no idea how much its cost as its been a case of see something and buy it, but considering most things are less than £2 he's got a lot for his money.
My tattos and envelopes arrived yesterday for my sons xmas card tea bag thingies so i got all 30 of them finished last night. So thats one less job for me,
Still got loads of other bits that need finishing off but im not happy with the finishing bits i have so im gonna leave them a few weeks and see if i can find some more inspriation.
was also in debenhams yesterday buying a replacement coat for DS and it was originally £22 reduced to £11 but when i got to the till it had been reduced again to £5.60.
So with the extra £6 i saved i went and bought a red xmas table runner decorated all round the edge with gorgeous diamantee's that was also reduced form £20 to £6.
Then whilst having a rumage around i managed to get an electric corkscrew reduced from £20 to £6, a wine foil trimmer reduced from £5 to 90p and a cork free pourer for £3 reduced from £10 which will al go in BIL wine hamper. Well they did buy us a very over enginered electric tin opener last year so we thought we would return the favour.
Also got my brother some jack daniels cuff links for £3 reduced from £10.
They had loads of other reduced stuff as well, its not obvious that there reduced you have to have a closer look at the price labels.
They were also putting out a lot of their xmas gift sets too.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Have just written a list of all the people I have to buy presents for this christmas (then added on birthdays still to go) and it worked out as pretty much one per week there is left until Christmas so I'm thinking if I aim to buy one present every week I won't have a huge expense in December.
Does anyone do this and does it work?
Sounds like the kind of bright idea I have then only keep it up for a few weeks/days/hours lol
take your list everywhere, i do but now i can almost memorise who i still have to get for.
Its not daft to buy 1 present a week - it makes great sense. I love going shopping in december - but not to buy gifts - i love the atmosphere but hate the queue's and the stress of it all.
Dont go out with the intention of buying for X this week as you might not spot anything, just go out witht he intention of getting 1 present whoever it is for. That way you can have a good look around and you might spot something that you can get next week for someone else.
If you do see something, think should i get this now? what are the chances of a promo being on in the next few weeks, (ie boots points etc)? Are there any vouchers lying around that i could use? If its a full price item with no offers etc on it, check the internet to see if you can save a few extra pounds, over a few presents those £'s soon add up.
Obviously if its in the sale / reduced section buy it as it wont be there tommorrow.
Dont be afraid to look in charity shops, i have found a few great buys over the last few weeks and have almost given the shops a bit extra money as i have felt like i have legally robbed them. But then i tell myself that they set the price and it wouldnt be very MSE to pay more than they are asking.
then come on here and tell us how your doing, if you've spotted any bargains and where from, and you might also spot a few bargains get some ideas from us lot too.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
