forgot to say i bought a little santa teddy and stuck it on top of the crepe paper (under the cellophane) and it topped it off perfectly.
my mum was really impressed with her hamper which i filled with her favourite things (books, bath stuff, etc) when she opened it, she removed teh tissue paper and retied the cellophane and didt touch it until after new year so everyone could see it! lol0 -

Oooh I'm so excited now!! I'm treating all the crafty bits as extras to the things we'd normally buy. So far I'm planning at least one sock monkey, tonnes of snowman soup and snowman/reindeer poop and I'm also going to try to make handbag charms because my mum bought me one last Christmas and I've had loads of compliments from it. I've been on Ebay and bought the clasps, and the beads - just waiting for them to arrive. I figure I'll use elastic or fishing line to make them as well (and raid dads fishing box for free
).
On top of this I'm going to make some hampers. For my cousin I'm planning a 'night in hamper' with pyjamas, fluffy socks, facepack, hair mask (one on the front of this months Marie Claire!!), DVD (from Play.com sale) and some other bits. For my nieces I'm planning a 'sleepover' hamper with pyjamas, socks, hair masks etc but as they are only 11 and 13 I'm not sure what else to put in... Anyone know where to get some cheap pink boxes? Maybe hat boxes?
I'm also planning to make a 'door hangar' for my new nephew which will be like a metre long padded cloth thing with a clothes hangar in it to hang with pockets for nappies, bottles etc. I figured it could hang on his door to make those late night changes etc easier. I hope that explains it well enough!
Lots to do! I tried to tell my husband all this earlier but he was all like "Rose, it's only the last day of summer, I don't want to think about Christmas....!"

Have just written a list of all the people I have to buy presents for this christmas (then added on birthdays still to go) and it worked out as pretty much one per week there is left until Christmas so I'm thinking if I aim to buy one present every week I won't have a huge expense in December.
Does anyone do this and does it work?
Sounds like the kind of bright idea I have then only keep it up for a few weeks/days/hours lolJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

You can tell us lot, we're all mad :rotfl::D I know a lot of people are the same, my boyfriend won't let me talk about Christmas either because it's too early, he won't be saying that when he's rushing around on Christmas eve getting stressed and I'm sat with a cuppa and all my presents beautifully wrapped :cool:D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0
