Okay so I have started to get the urge to get organised for Xmas 09 as its now only 174 days away!!
With many summer sales already started and some coming up soon its a great time to start looking for pressies!!
In previous years I've bought some fab stuff from monsoon, m&s, next to put away for christmas, not to mention the deals you can find online.

Its also so much easier to buy a little every month rather than have to buy it all out of one paycheck!!
So who's with me??
Maybe we could post deals we've found online/ instore and what else we're doing to get ready for the big day!!

  • I was only thinking this last night that I need to start thinking of xmas pressies! I'd love to join in. Just need to make a list of who i'm buying for and get some inspiration - done hampers the last two years which everyone loved but think i need a change this year xx
  • I'll join as well! I actually set up a website recently for Christmas lol. Need to get some money before I can start bying presents though really. And I need to work out who I'm buying for as well. And what to buy them. And how much to spend. And then there's decorations and cards and... ugh... Lol.

Started getting organised a short while ago, but in the funding sense. I started more surveys and intend to keep those separate and use those funds for pressies this year. Only have around £40 so far.

I think that I will get started on a list!

Snowbrow we currently have several threads for christmas and many of us have started getting organised since Jan.

    Please see these threads.

Jamtarts - Thrifty gifty money making for christmas and occasions

She Grinch - Crafting for christmas

Moneysaving and organised for all occasions

All three of these threads have deals posted as soon as they are found, everyone helps each other and there are some fab tips for being money neutral for christmas which may sound completely rubbish but last year I saved over £600 on christmas presents and various other things and all the christmas presents cost me a total of £350 :D

Just saves having another thread if we can all stick to the ones already in place and have been since Jan :D

    Hi,
Think this thread is a great idea:beer:,
I,ve been to town this morning and almost all the clothes shops have sales on, plus a lot of pyjamas are now down to half price so i got some to put away,
Superdrug are also selling "Linx" sprays for £1.50, i will get some of these each time i,m down too as i buy a lot to put in as stocking fillers so that will be a great saving:T

I buy pressies all year round (big family) and I love the fact that by the beginning of December I've got all my presies bought and wrapped (my wrapping is only beautiful and thoughtfully done if I do 2 or 3 at a time:o) and my cards are all made and written! I save my supermarket points to go towards the Xmas food and booze (like almost everyone on here I guess!) and I have a loose change jar that pays for the extra special sweets and chocolates.
I love the planning and lead up to Xmas:j:j:j
