Do you just use ordinary sugar with Reindeer food? and if so what colour do you all dye it.
I was just wondering if there was any type of sugar you use--i made one up with kids a few days ago just to see if it looked ok to sell on stall, and we put glitter in--maybe we should scrap that one and use sugar instead--it would be cheaper too,0 -
After reading it was bad for nature I always used the silver sugar decorating balls you find in the baking isles0

I would use food colouring and sugar crystals because glitter is harmful to little night critters who might just nibble at it. You could possibly use those little ball 100s and 1000s too.Time to find me again0 -
I hope I am doing this right but I have been a serial lurker for ages now and have got loads of great ideas from everyone so thought it about time to say hello!
I have been looking at all the hamper ideas and wanted to give a girls night in hamper to sil for xmas, I was hoping to put in a magazine subscription but she lives abroad and they cost loads for the postage so do you think it would be ok to buy a loads of magazines in December and put them in instead?? The weight of the hamper won't be an issue as we are driving to see her over xmas.
What else can I put in the hamper? I was thinking of a nice smelly candle, choc and crisps that she can't buy over there, maybe a book, the magazines and maybe a bottle of wine or baileys.0 -

Could you not order a magazine subscription, have it sent to your house and then just forward it on once it arrives with you? Then you could put one in the hamper and a little note saying it is actually a subscription that she will receive monthly.Time to find me again0 -
Sorry everyone - but I'm rubbish with things like this.... if I made snowman soup now would it still be OK fro Christmas? Do these things go off. I know Marshmallows can get a little crusty!0

I probably wouldn't make it yet - chocolate doesn't do well in the open air and will go stale and horrible, like you said marshmallows go crusty and stale too. Not sure about drinking chocolate but would probably just wait until nearer the time.D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0
