It was quick, but it is a bank holiday this weekend, so you might not hear from them until Tuesday. Hope you get a good result. :)

That's great, especially when you are getting nearly £13 worth of gift for less than your budget :)

  • Hiya,
I spent nearly £100 on xmas pressies today ... the asda lady thought i was slightly mad to be buying so early but i explained that the 5 packs of socks id bought were to make sock roses, and that a lot of the sets id bought were going to be split up and made into gift hampers ... she commented on what a good idea it was, so i told her about this site and this subforum thread and she is going to look in later ... so hello blond lady in sheffield asda :D
i also got a few bits in hobbycrafts sale, though it wasnt a very exciting sale i have to say. i did get the wrapping celophane for the pots of gold, pots of snowballs and posts of love im going to get my girl guides making in oct/nov for christmas.
good day all round (apart from for my bank balance) and half of all the pressies i need to get on their way to be ready!
    yay!

Same here I bought a few bits and bobs for Christmas today, a pair of pjs and a reduced hair brush for a hamper. Plus loads of flannels for reindeers and have a go at cupcakes. Some cellophane arrived today from ebay for pots of gold and hamper wrapping.

I felt a bit mad buying so early a couple of weeks ago but I feel ok about it now plus it is good getting some things in the sales early and avoiding a lot of the crowds later on (I hope!)

Present list going fine apart from OH and I am a bit stuck here plus it is his birthday in Oct.

    Hi!!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this (didn't want to trawl through the whole thread!!)

Reindeer dust, you get the kids to sprinkle it by the back door if you don't have a chimney!!

It is basically a circle of celophane, porridge oats and a little glitter tied up with a label explaining what to do with it.

My daughter has it every year and sprinkles it by the door before going to bed on Christmas Eve
