Bought some bed socks for my friend the other day -hadn't thought of turning them into a cup cake.

Done two more post it note holders - where was it the little pens were sold ? The betting shop here have them but the colours are a bit too bright for what I've done.

Got two CD holders from market -15p each - to have another go at a CD calendar............is it doesn't work I won't have lose much.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • hello all, ive been a member for ages but as i dont have my own computer my time is too short to be able to look as long as id like or post comments but id like to say thanks to everyone, this thread is so exciting - i spent hours last night reading posts! i get rolled eyes when i start talking about xmas in summer but i am unemployed through illness so if i dont plan they dont get! im now addicted to bargain hunting!
id like to remind people of charity shops - i volunteer in one and some finds are fantastic - last year i found a brand new designer leather bag for £3 which i sent to my auntie, a michael palin travel book worth £25 for £1 for my brother in law and this year i have found a bag from next £2 for my nana and an m&s autograph knee length wool coat £10 that i have to admit is for me!
ive bought two teeshirts on sale in new look for my sister £12 (saved £11.99)
3x£5 sanctuary sets (will do my two aunties and stepmum)
£10 sanctuary set (free with £10 spend on 2x£5 sets above - will do mum)
a funky scarf new with tags £1 from charity shop for friend (saved £3)

so ive made a start at least.

i also liked all the childrens ideas and thought id share a christmas eve prayer i wrote last year for my little cousin....

    Dear Santa,
I'd Like to say goodnight, goodnight,
i promise you i will sleep tight
while the stars are shining bright,
until Christmas morning comes to light.

    MY CHRISTMAS HAS COME EARLY

Wispa golds are due to be back on sale in the shops on the 14th september, a shop close to where i live has been allowed by cadbury's to sell them 2 weeks early so DF brought me home 20 bars, i had no idea they were selling them till i heard it on the news. The whole shop was decorated gold and they had a massive party.

I have been counting down the days, now in sat here like a pig in !!!!!!, lol.

He also got me some more sharpie pens from tesco's they are £1.75 per pack of 4 not £1.50 as i previously stated. (sorry)
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Don't know if they will be of use to anyone making the post it note holders.

I saw today a pack of highlighters in the poundshop (various mixed colours .... pink/blue/yellow/green) at least a pack of 8 (cant remember exactly) ...... but they were the same size as the small sharpie pens.

Yummy! I loved the Wispa gold, will definitely look for those again.
They would also look good in the pots of gold :)
