Hiya, yeah they're with the bedding section, they say "Tesco Throw 130cm X 150cm" on them.... if your tesco has a self scan anywhere, just take a few over to it and check the prices for them, that's wot we did0 -
how much has everyone been getting their sellophane for the baskets for? I'd looked on ebay, but was in a wholesalers yesterday and they sell 100m rolls of it for 11.49!! thought it was a bargain compared to some of the prices on ebay??0

I was thinking of doing little hampers from my 20month old to her uncles, with things like personalised mug etc in it. Anyone got any other suggestions of what I could include in it that says uncle??0

The hampers are a great idea but can anyone help as to where the best place to buy the cellophane to wrap them in?? I know my florist shop sells it in single sheets but i was thinking more about buying a roll so i am not governed by size shape etc. Thanks in advance0

Just realised its only 63 days till christmas - then i thought, that isnt very long.
I have aquired some more boxes to cover in paper to make my hamper boxes and have a few little things to finish off craft wise.
I also have a few gifts i still need to buy, but i shall be playing the price reduction waiting game.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

i got my cellophane of ebay yesterday its was only a coupele of pounds for 5 metres and 5 metres of free ribbon.
well my aunties and unces hamper is done just waiting on cellophane to come and i will be wrapping it, got a couple more bits to get for my friends hamper then thats done. finished brothers & sil photo frame, and my dads diary came this morning and so did uncle's body set, feel like everything is slowly coming together just got so much to do its hard stealing 10mins to go up and do things, how us mothers cope i will never know!0 -
Just been doing a bit of christmas shopping too given I know I only have 2 more pay days until Christmas
My Dad is thinking about moving house so he told me not to think about buying anything for him yet but finished my brothers gift. River Island had a sale on so got a lovely jumper for £15 down from £39 and a shirt for £12 down from £25. Really pleased.
Got to get cards this weekend however I am getting a more creative friend to make me some for my family
I love Christmas!!!0 -
5 hours it has taken me to sort ALL my stash out.
Im shattered.
I have way more thani thought i did, but i now know what little bits i need to get to fininsh every thing off.
Just got to wait to wrap it all now as we have nowhere to store wrapped hampers just yet, but they will all be ready in time for our house move on the 5th december then as people turn up to help us move we will be like - here you go take your christmas present with you.
There are a few things i need to get off ebay but im gonna wait till well after the postal strikes are over before i order those. As they will inevitably get ''lost'' on their way here.
Im well pleased with myself, i have gone well over budget on some and not on others but i am just happy that it is all done and i still have loads of time left over. :T
It has never been about the money for me its been about getting organised and actually having time to think about gifts rather than just buying any old present. This thread has helped me loads (along with the grabbit thread) i have some amazing gifts that i would have never of thought of buying, i have made some amazing gifts i would have never thought i could ever make and my kids will be getting some amazing hampers and memories, so thank you all. :T
NO its not goodbye although it sounds that way and DF hopes i would leave to save his wallet:p, I will stay on this thread, im sure i have loads more still to do and i will undoubtably still buy more and i still have an xmas dinner and xmas decs to get organised for yet.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

:DHi everyone!I've been reading this thread with interest,I love christmas even more so as my dd gets older (she's 3 now).Plus we have another little girl on the way to complete the family,so I'm beside myself with excitement this yr!I'm about half way throu with my pressie buying,so I feel like I'm doing ok.My best bargain so far was a Mrs Goodbee's dolls house for my dd that retails for roughly £69.99.I got it for £8.00 via a friend that works for the company.Eeekk! So that's her main pressie done.I have 39 people to buy for so I have to spread the cost otherwise it just isn't poss.
I'm going to try doing some hampers for the 1st time this yr and I'm doing some pots of gold too.Anyway hope I haven't waffled too much!:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Princesswoo, congratulations on being so organised, with a new baby too! They were putting the Christmas lights up in our town today too. I was so excited when I saw them, although I know they aren't getting switched on until 27th November. But still I will get to see them every day anyway:xmassmileExcited about Christmas 2009:xmassmile
