wow emma, thats great going!!!
After reading through the fab hamper thread, i have decided on a sweet hamper for friend, as she has a sweet tooth.
I have seen a lovely on in John Lewis for £20, but i guess it would be cheaper to make my own??? Not sure what to do for the box though (hopes that some kind poster would point me in the right direction)
edit - just found the "where to buy the boxes" bit on the hamper thread - doh!0 -
ok, so now i am totally inspired by the amazing sweet hampers - i cant believe i was going to spend £20 on one
Have worked through my list, and have worked out i am going to do 6 childrens and 4 adult sweet hampers. The kids one i was thinking of doing xmas sweets - like chocolate santas, golden coins etc, and for the adults - the fab retro sweets.
SO, as a rough guide, how much should i be expecting to spend on the sweets - as i am the type of person who could well go overboard:D
For the boxes, thinking of the plastic compartment container, and for the kids - more like an actual box? Does that sound ok??0 -

Hi jetcat
I'm using the perspex display cylinders and boxes for mine as i have loads needing to get rid of. They look like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PERSPEX-DISPLAY-CASE-for-1-43-scale_W0QQitemZ370275029681QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN?hash=item56361c92b1
I don't think it is as big as these, or these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MULTI-PURPOSE-COLLECTABLES-CYLINDER-DISPLAY-CASE-X-2_W0QQitemZ370275169218QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Soft_Toys_Bears?hash=item56361eb3c2
minus the wierd yankee collectible.
PS if you want one i will send you one if you like??

Thanks for the encouragement for the Essential Hamper for my "difficult" DH and for all the extra ideas.
