Hi ya all

Well im a keen fan of the crafting for Christmas thread already and have already been snooping around a few Xmas forums on line so am having a blast but I love Xmas and being prepared - i have lists for lists going.

I already have my Xmas list sorted for my family but i will post that later on

also have savings started as of this month - hoping i will have about £100 in it so far but im hoping Xmas presents for all my family (bar boyfriend and son) will come to about £170 maximum which will be nice but hoping i can get a bit more together to get ahead with bills and do a decent food shop so for this month im going to hope to put at least £60 away in cash and £15 in food stamps and that way i figure if i keep the same up for 6 months then come Xmas ill have £360 for Christmas gifts for son and boyfriend so £180 each and £90 for the Xmas food shop so we will see but hoping to start buying for them throughout the year still so probably wont even be that much.

will catch up on the pages i missed later but nice to meet you all!

Boyes do felt squares for something like 25p for a small one, or 40-ish pence for a bigger one, loads of colours. Can you upload a pic of your mini stocking, want some inspiration for my advent calendar :)

I haven't noticed that Christmas is coming day by day untill saw this thread. It's a big day for everybody. It seems I need to hasten my steps.
I remembered that I promised to buy a hamburger phone as the one in film Juno for my daughter as a Christmas gift. Now, it's the time to go. After many times comparison, I decided to buy from an online store whoes price is the lowest and they accept phone order. Here it is, it's cute, right?

• Hi I'd really like to join this thread, am usually v. organised but had our first baby in November so the months since then have whizzed by without a thought of Xmas!

I got my DH to get my present stash box down from the attic today, so will inventory that later hopefully. Also been through my filofax just now, cleared a section and made it up as my xmas planning section :T

I've been looking at the budgets this morning too (have done draft budgets up to and including Dec - am such a geek!) and have worked out that we'll have £550 (I save £50 a month specifically for xmas which pays out in mid Nov). I also have £20 book vouchers, £59 Mr T savings stamps, £4 ClbCard vouchers (with more to come as I save mine up and they get paid out in Nov). I have a few quid on my Boots and WHSmiths cards as well - every little helps :D

Am super excited for Christmas now - DS will be 13 months old so his first proper xmas, lush!

Will update again when I have inventoried (is that a word?) the gift stash x :xmassmile

Just picked up a few more bits while I was in town, some glue so I can start making my ribbon star decorations, a travel sized deodorant to go in OH's advent calendar, and a Body Shop vanilla gift set which was in a charity shop for £3 and is lovely :) Will give it to my SIL so she can take it back on the flight to Plymouth as all the bottles are under 100ml, a few years ago everyone got them gift sets with big bottles of smellies and hair products and stuff, airport staff opened them all at the airport and threw them all in the bin because they were too big  So got to be extra careful!

• Well I've been through the gift box and have a few bits and pieces in there, couple of small things I've picked up for DS cheaply. Also got some jewellry sets and smellies sets that are 'recycle-able' and will be used at christmas time. Gonna get cracking on the shopping in August I think - need pay day to come around first!
