Hey, am loving all the organisation! :o) i have a couple of boxes under the bed with the bargains been picking up (and on hidden behine some bits in my wardrobe so other half doesnt see it! lol.
couple of ideas what i have been doing, two of my friends have small boys - 6 and 8 now and they are into their computer games, and because of their age they are not bothered about the newest expensive ones, so i have picked up a couple of pre-owned games in Game Station for the PS2 - 50p and £1 for the other! a football and a olympic one - they may be 2005 or something, lol, but its a game and a present after all!

I cant remember who it was and have looked to find the post but not been able to, but someone was saying about woolworths etc - did you know their website is back up and online :j- got all the party bits and Ladybird things too...maybe the vouchers could be used still?!
:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Our little princess born 8th June - she is amazing!! :grinheart

Can i join too? This thread is for me, its exactly what i have been looking for.

I cant believe im thinking about xmas already in JULY.

I have even been and bought my 1st few xmas bits & bobs today after trawling through all the threads for inspiration yesterday.

I have bought 6 cube boxes that ave a lid that tie with ribbon from the hallmark outlet for £1.49 each there about 25cm square.
I also nipped into thorntons and bagged some white chocolate coins for 35p a bag with a best before of 31/01/2010.
I'm going to use them in pots of silver similar to the pots of gold but as im making them for kids instead of putting scratchcards in i'm going to put a £5 gift voucher in instead.

I've also had a scout around for some decent boxes to try and make the retro sweet boxes but i havent found a decent 1 as yet, but i have plenty of time.

I got given a goody bag in the hallmark shop which was worth £20 and had loads of xmas cards and bits and bobs in - so i was really happy with that.

I have even bought a note book which has dividers in so i can write lists af who to by for, ideas of what to buy, theme's etc as well as keeping track of my spending as i am going to stick to budget this year as well as using it to keep track of all other things xmassy.

I'm so excited about xmas this year, the ideas are swiming round my head so i need to get them on paper so my brain can have a break for a while.

I really want to get my DD a wooden dolls house from ELC this year so i am keeping my eyes peeled for a good deal.

I have no idea what to get DS but he usually gives me his list of suggestions in september - so he might have to wait for a while.

I have 30 to buy for in the family and 25 little gifts to make with my DS for his classmates. There probably just going to get a cello bag filled with sweeties, tied with ribbbon and a handmade label, but it's the thought that counts.

3 gifts that are stumping me are my 3 brothers. I never know what to get them and usually just end up buying them a bottle of vodka, i know that'll get drunk but it seems so - well expected and boring now.

Im saving up all my quidco, boots & tesco points etc for xmas as were having a baby in september and have DD birthday in october and DS birthday in November, and i always like others usually leave xmas till the 1at week of december, then find myself rushing round like a headless chicken grabbing whatever is going and being totally disorganised. We wont have time to do that this year. So i need to get a head start.

I am now going to fill in my xmas planner with names and the ideas i have for their gifts - its my new bible, it will go everywhere with me.

So im hoping that by getting started now, i will leave myself enough time for that inspiration lightbulb to turn on inside my head and get them / make them something more personnal.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!

For your brothers, instead of the usual vodka have you seen the homemade flavoured vodka thread? It's something a bit different, and from what everyone says, they're delicious :) Don't feel bad about thinking about Christmas already, that's what we're here for :D I was trying to stop my boyfriend from finding out that I'm planning already, but he got suspicious when he came over for a cuddle and I slammed the laptop shut to stop him from seeing the 10 different Christmassy tabs I had open. He thought I was chatting to other men :rotfl:So I had to come clean about my Christmas addiction. I've already got massive lists of present and decoration plans, I'm dead excited!
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

  • Glad I found this, I too have been thinking about Christmas recently, pleased I'm not the only one!

Every year I say I'll be organised and start thinking ahead and EVERY YEAR I end up leaving it til December and spending all my spare cash, not that I splurge ridiculously but I always wish I'd thought ahead and didn't have to rush around finding stuff, especially for DS.

So this year I resolve to start this month and buy bits and bobs now, do lists and be super-organised by the time it comes to December!
