Whats a nappy cake??
These are nappy cakes
Kingshir you are not the only one, some people hate them ... I however love them and make them. I have sold loads aswell and they have been a godsend for me when OH was out of work
Focus if you need any help on how to make them just shout, I have a tutorial which I did for a lovely lady on this forum, and since making it for her I have sent it to others aswell
I am looking forward to the new challenge.
However is it wrong I am thinking about vouchers for part of my family for christmas? purely because I can't be bothered this year?
I have ideas on what I would like to get the children but I don't want to go overboard like I did a couple of years ago.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

After the whole woolies/ zavvi gift vouchers hoohaa last year I would hold of buying them for a while!!0

Same here - I wont be doing vouchers this year after last years debacle over them all!
Or rather I probably wont.... lol0 -

I was thinking the same thing too, don't want to end up with a load of bits of paper worth nothing. Me and OH got Zavvi vouchers of an aunt last year and we went and spent them early fortunatly otherwise they would have been worth diddly squat.
I have been saving M&S vouchers though I'm hoping nothing happens to them, I'm sure it wont (she says with everything crossed)

Maybe you could frame the Woolies voucher and give it to someone as a jokey gift?
I am SO loving this thread - it's nice to be in the company of other people who like to start getting organized this early. I just get strange looks from my work colleagues if I mention Christmas in July
My little tip: that week in between Christmas and New Year often feels a bit of an anti-climax after all the months and months of planning, so I have always done two things. Firstly, I plan a lovely day JUST FOR ME in the week after Christmas (sort of my reward for making it all happen, I suppose!), so I have something to look forward to. This is a day when I don't do any cooking, and pamper myself with nice bath/beauty products, and laze about on the bed reading magazines while being brought cups of tea by my grateful OH and/or children. I sometimes have to remind them to be grateful
Secondly, to keep the Christmas feeling going a bit longer for the children, we have the tradition of hanging small wrapped presents on the tree, and they are allowed to open one per day between Boxing Day and New Year's Eve. It makes them ridiculously happy to still be getting little gifts for a whole week after Christmas. With sufficient advance planning, it's possible to do this very cheaply (I have 2 daughters, so it's fairly easy to keep them happy with bargains from Claire's Accessories, or items from the gift-with-purchase make up sets from Boots etc during the year which I squirrel away for them).
Possibly I spoil them0
