liley I remember last year someone posting a really good diagram of how to wrap the hampers I think it was Rustyflange tho may be wrong!

You could ask her or pm her otherwise as she does nappycakes etc and they are fab so i am sure she would know how to do it all properly!

Can't take the credit for the diagram ... it was the lovely Rainmac ... here is is

Secondly, to keep the Christmas feeling going a bit longer for the children, we have the tradition of hanging small wrapped presents on the tree, and they are allowed to open one per day between Boxing Day and New Year's Eve. It makes them ridiculously happy to still be getting little gifts for a whole week after Christmas. With sufficient advance planning, it's possible to do this very cheaply (I have 2 daughters, so it's fairly easy to keep them happy with bargains from Claire's Accessories, or items from the gift-with-purchase make up sets from Boots etc during the year which I squirrel away for them).

    :)

I do something similar (even though my 'children' are all mid-to late 20's:p) We have a Xmas eve present which we open whilst having a slice of xmas cake and a little presie each every day between boxing day and the New Year and on New Years day a final, bigger present.

I suppose it depends on numbers - originally there was me, OH and 3 nippers, now we have a DIL, SIL and a MIL added in, but it is still manageable as I buy all year round and am the queen of bargains according to my family!!

I think after all the planning and work that is involved it is a shame for it to only last 1 day AND I am a big kid at heart:o

Daughters are easy, makeup, unusual chocs/sweets, fancy tights, bracelets/earrings, flavoured vodka (in little minature bottles) mineral soap (the £3+ stuff that I wouldn't dream of buying the rest of the year!) those very soft, tactile soxs for wearing with pjs (while watching tv) in the very cold weather, magazines, books, skin care stuff (masks etc), nail varnish and so on. My son and SIL are a bit harder but again flavoured vodka and mineral soap, mens moisturiser (I'm saying nothing) books, magazines, minature booze, nice pen, IOU promise voucher (for an hours ironing per week for a month) car wash voucher, lottery ticket, sweets etc. I make lists all through the year of things that are mentioned in passing, or ideas I have - or steal off here!!

Oooo I think i'll go to Poundland and see if I can pick up some Nicky Clark products to make my very first hamper for my SIL. Has anyone seen any tool kits for the car in bright pink? My sis eventually passed her driving test this year and her car is her third baby lol and thought that would be a nice idea x

Home bargains has them - not sure if they are just pink tool kits rather than car ones though, they had a few pink things in - not sure of price either - is anyone going there today - maybe someone could check...?
