Claire -if I can find it I'll put it on but blessed if I know which thread it was on. I know it was like a little book with one letter for each page. Beautifully done it was.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Oooh i have jsut read about survival kits - they would make great pressies.
So i think i might have to make a few of those especially for those family members who have everything and are so difficult to buy for and for those who like a giggle.
I shall have to get my thinking cap on and think of things to put in them.
My organiser notebook is getting filled up pretty quickly.
Does anyone know is there is a dedicated survival kit thread?
Ive had a quick search but i cant find one.
Would be nice to see some sugestions & ideas.
I have a funny feeling ear plugs and mini bottles of spirits / wine are gonna feature heavily in mine.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
I did these for a few people last year
Band aid -in case your feelings get hurt
Eraser -to make mistakes disappear after you've learned from them
String -to keep things together when you think they're falling apart
Candle -to light up the darkest moments
Coin -so you'll never be completely broke
Blu-tak - stick with it -you can accomplish anything
Cotton wool ball-to soften the bumps in life
Tissue - for tears of joy or sadness
Pencil -to write down a blessing every day
Flower - make sure you stop and smell the roses
If you google 'Survival Kit' it'll probably throw some more up. There was one site with a kit for all people and occassions.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Well so far my Xmas shopping list looks like this

no idea yet? £20 budgeted
2. Step mum
again no idea £15 budgeted
3. Step sister (17)
£20 in a handmade Christmas card
4. Step brother (14)
£20 in a handmade Christmas card
5. Mum ---- bracelet with pandora beads --- £20 budgeted
6. Sister (22) ---- no idea
7. Niece (aged 4 by Xmas) ---- princess themed bedroom hamper (shared)
8. Niece (aged 2 by Xmas) ---- princess themed bedroom hamper (shared)
9. Nan ---- cuddle hamper (light blue theme)
10. Grandad ---- cuddle hamper (green theme)

12. Cousin (aged 8) ---- handmade card and £10
13. Cousin (aged 6) ---- handmade card and £10
14. Step grandmother and grandfather ---- handmade card and framed photo of ben
and that's just my side but im hoping i can do all that on about £170 with some clever shopping. Also my nieces share a bedroom so i figured one hamper between them would be nice so they can have more bits and it will help their mum do their bedroom up too.
my gift closet so far though consists of
1 pink flip file
1 pink address book
1 'love' loveheart bag
1 pink sponge
1 white sponge
1 paul smith perfume
1 nina ricci perfume
1 purple mug with 'tea' written on it
4 small wooden picture frames
2 large wooden picture frames
4 small whisks
10 luxury cards
1 meter of ballet material
40 Xmas tags
1 Santa key
2 pink candles
1 box of blue bath fizzer's
1 big envelope of card making bits and pieces
1 pair of size 16-18 pyjamas
2 door plaques with a nieces name on each
3 Disney princess pictures
1 Disney princess cup
think i really need to be getting a move on though and the thing is as well is that is only my side of the family - there is another 10 to buy for from boyfriends side but he does them.
Then there is of course buying for each other and our son.Time to find me again0
