ah
Here you are!
I have one completely home made present finished now. It's three jars, two jam and one marmalade all in jars on a rack that I was given and have now reused. The last jar of jam was made yesterday along with another 5 jars of blackcurrant jam. Blackcurrants were home grown so it's just cost the sugar (and gas)...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -

I got them instore.
I have seen them in all sorts of places cheaply, i have seen them in poundland before but not in my local one as it is quite small, i wasnt looking for them i just saw them and thought oooooh i can use those.
I have just finished my first nappy cake (i'll put the pic in the nappy cake thread), i really like it and think i might make a few for the little members of the family. But instead of nappy i might use other things. Not sure what yet thought, im still working on that one.
Gonna sit down this afternnon with DD and make some xmas tags. Im sure she'll enjoy stamping the designs and cutting them out.
My mum got married last week and she just brought me a slice of fruit cake round to go with our cuppa, i feel so christmassy now - after having some fruit cake.
I would really like to make perrpermint creme's - i made these as a child and have such good memories of giving them to my mum. I have found a recipe but does anyone know how long they keep for. Im using a recipe that is just icing sugar and peppermint essesnce. I dont want to use the recipe with raw egg white in it.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T

I dont know if any of you on here make and sell gifts but There is talk on another forum about trading standards are telling people that they can no longer sell products that look like food in any way a few of the peopl i know have had letters about this they make soaps but so say there not the only people to have been told so just thought i would let you know just in case
P.S not sure how true it is yet or even if it is trueI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0 -
oh you have all done very well and the little gift jars look fantastic. :T:T:T
I am currently sat attempting to enjoy my birthday (its today) but it has really made me realise that Christmas really isnt far away now - only 161 days.was sat wondering yesterday where did that year go?
either way i think next week i might sit and try and get started on some Xmas cards - I was sent loads of bits and pieces by a gorgeous nonny mouse who had no use for them so I think i will start making some cards soon so i have them ready to send out. should be good fun and discovered a new card making shop in town who have demonstrations on quite a lot too which is handy
found a fabric/craft shop too so thinking i might try and incorporate some fabric as well. I fancy making some decorations this year but not sure what - I like the idea of a tree skirt but wouldn't know where to start with it - i saw a cute design for one that puts hand prints on it in felt so thinking a nice keep sake for the grandparents. Wanting to make sure they are ok this winter though if it gets really cold so thinking ahead all ready about things like pyjamas/night gowns etc for them but wanted to put these in their cuddle hampers for them both so not sure now but still want to make sure they are ok this winter.Time to find me again0
