Dunno why i'm unable to quote but Vicky i think you will find that the majority of us who are commenting on the poster who made racist comments all have very close members of their family with an ASC, so please don't sit there and say we are here venting our spleen.
BCS would not get away in the real world with what she said so i don't know why your trying to excuse her behaviour on this forum!
There are several many Aspies who post on this forum and i have never once come across any of them making a racist comment.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.:j:D

I understand that Zara, many of my family have ASD to varying degrees, but we cannot compare an adult who would almost certainly have slipped through the net yrs ago when there was very little known about the condition.
My adult family members come out with the most jaw dropping statements and very personal criticisms at the drop of a hat and in any social situation, my own husband is completely estranged from my family for that reason.
My oldest son has indeed been taught as best we can social skills, but this has started since he was a pre-schooler so we have a modicum of success, my youngest is very profound and we are not even anywhere near the stage of social skill training, hopefully one day he will improve enough to be at that point.
I am not excusing bad behaviour or racist comments but would ask people to take AS in an adult on board as the most likely cause, for instance the racist tone could be considered acceptable in Breastcancer ladies own home or social circle or maybe it is just her belief, maybe we all have thoughts that we keep to ourselves and an Aspie would not.
I think she has already said somewhere in this long thread that she has a list of people who do not like her, this is so sad, it makes me think of my own family who are not liked much either for their outspoken and often badly thought out comments. I know my family are good people underneath it all but fat lot of good that is in the big wide world.

Benefits are better for a single parent aren't they
:D
Indeed they are.
I can see the dating ads:
"Looking for someone to share some of my time with. Must have own home so as not to affect my benefits".
Sounds good to meThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Thanks to krisskross and daisyflower - I do try to give out advice when required - but I am also entitled to an opinion just like everyone else. Everything I do on this site is done on a personal level and is nothing to do with my work.
This part of the site though, is meant for advice and not judgement.
Agree, you do try to give out advice, and that will hopefully be appreciated, but I did find some of your comments on here unnecessary, sorry. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
People that come from the EU are perfectly entitled to be here - as we are in their home country. Plus, I think I am correct in thinking that they are not entitled to benefits for a year. Finally, they would have to take their place in the housing queue just like everybody else.
Your remarks were racist and trying to use autism as a way of justifying your comments is insulting to those who do have autism. Suggesting that I don't understand your very clear remarks is making you look extremely foolish. If you have any sense at all you will publicy retract your remarks.
No, they weren't racist. They were an opinion on immigration. Anyone is entitled to their opinion. Racism is treating someone unfairly simply because they belong to a different race or culture. And that discussion belongs down the arms.0 -

And its not as if no-one criticises the government and its workers on this part of the site yet that seems to be a lot less of a problem for most people
And no need to be sorry, I'm not, opinions are like !!!!!! in that everyone has one, and this is the internet, they are going to be expressed.0 -
Doesn't it cross anyone's mind here that the hardened something for nothing society and benefit cheats have no need for this forum?
I think by and large people who come here are most likely in need of some honest advice, there seems to always be this assumption among some people that everyone is on the hookey.
People who live their entire life on benefits couldn't care less what anyone else thinks and certainly don't need to come here to find their way round the system.

I also found some comments unnecessary, although they did follow some very good advice!:p
I was unaware of a lot of the rules regarding what affects your single status and what does not, and as it appears i was (unwittingly) on the wrong side of one or two of these my OH and i have decided to speed things up and move in together despite the financial hardship this will cause owing to his CC etc as i could not knowingly break the rules, and tbh i would have been offended had he just gone oh ok we'll just have a jump on a friday and i wont bother the rest of the week
I feel i should say that we were planning to move him in at some point (all above board) even before i received the compliance letter contrary to what people have said.
I do feel quite hurt by what some people have said as the last think i am looking to do is massage the system in any way! I used to live on a big estate where everyone was fine and were all claiming DLA and carers allowance for each other etc i got out of that hell hole as soon as i could and i do not appreciate being tarred with the same brush!!:mad:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Of course there are genuine posts of help wanted, but just lately they have been few and far between.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.:j:D
