Yes I saw it thanks. I was just surprised that they did Human as their opening number as I would have expected it to be last.
Was it the same set as you saw recently?0 -
October , Novemberhi all,so me and the wife have decided to goto vegas on the 4th November and take our son he'll be 5 months old i know most of you will disagree but when we book our hotel should we say there's 2 adults plus 1 kid or not they tend to add an extra fee per night for this also anyone seen any offers for this time was hoping for wynn, encore or palazzo was willing to go upto $1300 for the week or is it too soon for these dates
thanks for any info
Wynn and Encore have a 'no stroller' policy except for registered hotel guests...so as I understand it if you will have any sort of pram or pushchair for the baby you will have to register it and get a tag for it...whether this is done by someone who will see your booking and know if you have or have not booked a child in the room I do not know.
This seems to indicate you have to do it at check-in.

Something to consider, at least.
Edited to add - you may want to contact the hotel to see what they classify as a 'child'...I'm sure I've seen on hotel booking forms before that some state the ages but can't see it for Wynn - it may be that an infant does not = a child.
And with that big of a convention, rates may be quite a lot higher than normal - and it will likely be pretty crowded on the strip - so may not be the best time to go if you can avoid it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

At present cost is $1286 (approx. £814) & only requires $162 (approx. £101) deposit.

If you are only going for 7 nights, Vegas all the way ! Although it's always nice to have 2 'different' trips when only paying for 1 flight. We're going to Vegas next year but flying out to San Diego - few days there, then driving to Vegas for 7 nights.
We're planning the same itinerary next year - San Diego/Vegas, but are struggling to find direct flights to or from San Diego. How did you arrange your flights? Are they direct?0 -
My other half wants to go to vegas and he liked the idea of the Luxor as he engoys the egyption theme.
I have booked the luxor for his 60th as a surprise but after reading some of the negative reviews i was thinking of changing the hotel.
Dessert Rose resort gets good reviews as does the signature
Can anyone with more knowledge please help?0 -

They have stripped out a lot of the Egyptian theme at Luxor, though the exterior, lobby, cafe, etc. still have a good deal of it...plus the main building being a pyramid and all. It's not the most centrally located place being pretty far south strip...but if he's into the Egyptian theme it's not a bad place to stay.
Desert Rose is not very convenient, it's a ways from the strip, doesn't have a casino, isn't really a 'Vegas experience' sort of place, though perhaps it would be more relaxing than staying at a strip casino...personally I wouldn't even consider it for a first trip. Several here have stayed at Signature and I don't think anyone would say anything bad about the place...but it's likely to be quite a bit more expensive than Luxor prices.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Thanks for the advice
I knew the dessert rose was out of the way, but again the benefit of being away from the main strip would prob be more beneficial.
Might look at the difference in cost for signature or dessert rose.
I think he would enjoy the luxor and i know people tend to leave negative comments on trip advisior but i dont want to ruin his 60th birthday and first trip to vegas is the hotel turns out to be dissapointing0 -
SeptemberIs she one of the few people here who has yet to see them on the their Day & Age tour? I know a heck of a lot of posters here have! Near as damn it ,same set every single night.
You find most bands do pretty much the same set the majority of the nights. Remember the set list is catering for a new audience in a new city or new festival each night.Yes I saw it thanks. I was just surprised that they did Human as their opening number as I would have expected it to be last.
Was it the same set as you saw recently?
Yes pretty much except they added in the slow version of Sam's Town & they changed Smile Like You Mean It around a bit too. Since I seen them in March they have tinkered with a few songs which gives it a certain freshness IMO.
In terms of Human being first I wasn't surprised - it may well be their most radio friendly hit but there are several fan's favourite songs from their previous albums which could easily go into the encore & main set.
Now I need to figure out what we'll be doing in vegas the other 6 nights:T0 -
SeptemberAnyone stayed at the Excalibur recently? Booked a good deal in Sept for 5 nights the covers the weekend. Tripadvisors reviews are mixed. Booked a 'widescreen room'
I can always cancel if a better option comes my way, was just looking for some feedback. Thanks0
