December ( including Xmas and New Year )Has anyone been during new years? Looking at prices and its pretty insane. $2k for the crappest room in the bellagio/mgm/venitian.
how late could I get away with booking?
*edit* $2k is boxing day to the 2nd
Crappiest room at the Venetian is one of the best rooms in Vegas.
We booked October for Xmas last year.
Save half your stash by going three days earlier and coming back three days earlier.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

It's obviously very crowded as it's the busiest time in Vegas...it will be pretty quiet when you arrive on boxing day and will get increasingly busier to NYE...I can see how it would be considered a fun, exciting and special time to be in Vegas for some...for us, we did it once and glad we did for the experience but would never do it again - too expensive and too crowded compared to other times of the year.
If it were me, I would book a back-up sooner rather than later - something that's cancellable and that you'd be OK with if nothing better came along...Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
October , NovemberAgree with ferf. We did it twice and would not bother again. It is soooo crowded leading up to the big night, and they don't even set the fireworks off from the top of the casinos anymore. They do them from the parking garages which deminishes the whole thing somewhat. You will learn to hate the SoCal yuppies really quickly as well. All you will see is California licence plates. On NYE you have less than 0 chance of finding a seat in a casino at any slottie after 9pm, and even less chance of finding a table game with less than a $25 minimum bet (I lost over $300 in less than 5 minutes at craps on time)
Also, it can be really cold!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
