SeptemberTried to book this offer but it wouldnt authorised my credit card, any ideas? Checked and double checked and the details are definitely correct
I would triple check. I have bought numerous things online with my credit card, but it was declined last week. I called Capital One and they had detailed of the declined transaction and asked me what expiry date I had entered and it dawned on me that I had entered the wrong year.
I would suggest calling your cc company as they may know why it was declined.0 -

So near yet so far!!:rotfl:
I'm just about to book this trip - 7nyts at the Venetian.
Flights are with US Airways booked via Expedia as the price is alot better.
Is it just a traditional free for all when it comes to checking in & getting a good seat then or can I book seats in advance? Flight out is at 10.15am so it's not a problem but the flight back from Vegas is 7am which will be a sore one.

Once you book, they will pre-allocate some seats for you. You will also get a 6-digit Airline Confirmation number. Then phone US Airways direct on 0845 600 3300 (between 7am-8pm) and they will be able to change your seats if you want to. Have a look on Seatguru website to help you see where you will be sitting.
Your flight to PHL should be on an Airbus 330 so you will be able to get a 'pair' of seats (rather than sitting in 2 out of a row of 3).0 -
October , NovemberHow much is the upgrade to the North Tower? If I don't get it FOC I may decide to pay for it at check in.
It's $30/night if memory serves, so not necessarily worth it if you have to pay for it...several people on Open Vegas said they were asked if they wanted to upgrade for the fee, and when they declined the clerk upgraded them for free...though may not have been a big weekend.
I'm sure you've already had a look but just in case - you can see the difference in the types of rooms in the travellers photos at tripadvisor - it's pretty easy to tell which are the renovated rooms and which aren't.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

They probably offer online check-in starting 24 hours before each flight - so may be worth looking at for both legs. I've not used it with US Airways but have with others. I love knowing we're checked in, have the seats we want, etc. and just have to drop bags (and pick up boarding passes if we haven't printed them) when we get to the airport. If you won't have a laptop with you you could use your hotel's business centre for a fee...it's been worth it to us.
I'm sure a couple of us here have mentioned that at least with the Virgin return flights, checking in online helps to ensure that you'll be seated together - the Virgin check-in clerks were telling us that in a lot of cases where people didn't turn up until 2 hours before the flight they ended up being split up...not sure if the same sort of thing is as likely to happen with an internal flight, but worth checking in online if you can I think.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I triple checked and done it all over again, guess I'll have to phone the bank!0 -
October , NovemberThis is what I was desperately trying to post last night when the forums were down. MON AMI GABI DINING CERTIFICATE
It's a $50 dinining certificate for $25 + $3.75 shipping and handling. It's only good for breakfast between 7-11am.
Just ordered ours and at the moment there are only 2 certificates for MAG left (there were 30something when I first looked after Luci posted) - just wanted to update in case anyone else is interested.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I've seen the photos and the renovated rooms do look much nicer, but I think we will just take our chance at check in as it would be another $150 that I would rather use for gambling, etc.0 -

Don't blame you one bit - pretty sure we would take the same approach.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

SeptemberPhew,
We've eventually got booked up through Expedia.
Glasgow - Vegas via Philly & 7 nights in the Venetian.
I'm a bit !!!!ed as they upped the price £40 when I tried to book but I got signed up to a recommend a friend promo which saved us £20.
We thought it was best to get it sorted once & for all.
Anyway, we're sooooo excited!! :T
Thanks for all your help folks!!
