Blimey - every day in July and August in a refurbed North Tower room at $39 including weekends.:eek::eek:

I agree - absolutely brilliant find by davidmcg2u.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

completly agree I always read TA but much of what is written is tosh particaully on the forum I would never base a choice on what people write on there. part of it is people who have a gripe and then there is much other where people have different standards and expections to what I have.
interestingly last time i looked on TA think it was a month back nearly every single hotel in vegas had about 4 or 5 1 star reviews all bad, smelt highly of poor publicity done by a rival company as they were all very simmilar reviews
    dont trust it 100pc

September too - even the weekend of the Mayweather fight / Killers gig - so book it quick if you want it!!

I think you need to book in blocks of 2 to get the $79.

Pity I never received this 2 days ago as I think I would booked a couple of nights there - never been but read good things on here & the location is excellent!

    Many thanks for this David.

I tried to book the 18 & 19 September online, but it wouldn't let me and I got a message saying to call. Just called and now have the Fri & Sat at $79 total. Had to pay the $10 booking fee for booking by phone, but still a bargain.

The rate I had was $65 a night which I thought was good as even with the Hot Deals it was now $180 & $160.

I have amended our existing booking and asked for the two bookings to be linked so we don't have to change rooms, but if we have then so be it.

Where did you find this offer, was it emailed to you? I don't get any email offers from HET properties.

Luci - it was emailed to me 2mins before I posted it!

I've obviously been scouring for a deal for myself so maybe signed up to something at the right time - who knows how these things work - glad you got the use of it :T

    When do you go?

We did 3 hotels our first stay in April 2008 - Bills (2) Venetian (2) + MGM (3) - said we'd never do more than 2 in a week but it's hard not to with the tempting deals & the fact that you want to samples as many hotels as you can.

You have 3 nice hotels there.

going end of aug begining of sept
really wasnt planning on doing this many (was starting out just staying with friends!!!) but as more offers came on it was to tempting not to take them, particulaly the phantom and lion king offers as really fancied seeing both of these...
but hey I did a project out in vegas about 7 years ago now, and promised my sister I would take her for her 21st and for my mums retirement, so this is kinda a trip of a life time for them so don't mind spending more than I had planned to to begin with
just got a feeling were going to take living out of a suitcase to a whole new level!

I take very little notice of TA reports. If you look closely, some of them are posted a long time after the visit. I challenged one person who had written reports for hotels 5 years after their stay. The only thing that made it obvious was the fact that they had reviewed two hotels that had been closed for over two years. It was when I mentioned this that they admitted that the reviews were 5 years after the event. What can you remember about 5 years ago? I'm sure it's not a perfect recollection.

The link below has decent rates for the MGM on your dates. I saved into my Internet Explorer so I can't remember exactly where I got it from - possibly posted here previously or fatwallet.

At present cost is $1286 (approx. £814) & only requires $162 (approx. £101) deposit.

    Exclusive Offer
    * 2 for 1 daily buffet
    * Nightly access for 2 to Studio 54 and Tab!
    * Daily access for 2 to Wet Republic
    * Daily gym access for 2

    Hope I'm ok posting this.

That's amazing thanks. I think the other half will poo poo the MGM tbh, anyone have bellagio/venetian offers?

    Hi - just wanted to post a 'thanks' for all the fantastic info in this thread (and the previous one!) I have been reading since mid way through the past thread, and we are *finally* jetting off this week. Although complicated, we are taking DD to a medical-specialist summer camp in Texas, so our (month long!!!!) holiday itinerary is;

Local to camp, Texas (3 nights)
    Dallas Fort Worth (2 nights)
    Vegas (5 nights - Luxor)
SF (Golden Gate Hotel - 11 nights)
DFW (3 nights to collect DD)
then all off to Cape Cod (7 nights)
before flying home again - phew!

So - re the Vegas section, we are in Luxor for our stay, one night in a GC 'ranch'/heli tour thingy, one night at O - I have gleaned sooo many ideas from you, but if anyone fancies the 'what I would do with 3 days/nights in Vegas Top 3' then that would be cool :D
