Virgin trains guard

So if you have a friend who is already a train driver and you seem to know a bit about trainline.com and Virgin trains, why start this thread in the first place??
This thread is nothing to do with trainline.com or am I missing something? This thread was started in order to praise the actions of a Virgin trains employee, and also to ask advice from forum users about the best way to go about thanking this employee. Don't think there's anything wrong with that.0 -

They were questioning why someone with knowledge of the trainline.com would need assitance in finding out how to contact the customer services of Virgin to praise a train guard.0 -

Think Liam is right and you should be careful.A friend who works on SW trains tells me that its a load of crap - doing one job and 'covering' for someone who does another - never gonna happen sister!! Maybe he's young and trying to impress you ........ maybe not ...........One life.0

So whats the options so far then?
1) He's a train driver who has covered some shifts as a guard, or vice versa
2) He's told a little white lie to maybe impress Sarah
3) Sarah has misheard something, or something has been lost in translation
4) He's a cad and a bounder, who has been spinning a wicked web of lies to ensare Sarah, have his wicked way with her, and sell of her off into the slave trade when he's finished.
I'm favouring a more innocent explanation.0 -
You could add to that why has Sarah posted on here asking advice on how to contact somebody who works on a train, even though in other posts she has stated that she has a friend who is a train driver and has also expressed reasonable knowledge of trainline.com and also virgin trains.
Fair enough if she wanted to praise the guy, but I don't see the point in asking the advice on how to go about contacting him etc, when she could find out herself much easier.
Surely it would have been easier to ask her friend the train driver and get answers to all of her initial questions instead of asking on here?
In my first post on this subject I was just trying to highlight that this may not be the fairytale everyone is making it out to be, but from the reaction I received to my post and looking at the other posts Sarah has made in the past it all looks weird to me.0 -
liam - I know mate. Seemed you were just pointing out a few reasonable concerns / opinions and it got taken the wrong way. Happens now and again (ever see my kfc thread a few days ago?)0

Or maybe its Sarah thats the one not being honest with everyone......
Maybe Sarah is actually in PR for Virgin Trains and they are hoping by spinning this story out that their trains are going to be full of single woman hoping to be "saved" by a 21 year old train guard.
I personally think that for whatever reason Sarah is using a bit of escapism with her imagination. If you had a sad life I can well imagine why you would try and have a happier life on-line.0 -
Oh its so romantic and so Agatha Christie....Strangers on a train....i can just see the steam enveloping our young heroine, sarah,as the 8.53 to Manchester calling at Milton Keynes,Crewe,Macclesfield,Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly, pulls out of Euston under the guiding hand of her dashing white knight in a VT uniform and his red flag.
As per usual, its only sandwiches and coffee in first class becuase the chef has gone sick or the kitchen is otherwise dysfunctional.

Could this be the start of another MSE bodice ripper?
Has Ms Moons bodice already been ripped?
Has she checked all his good points before getting on board or is he green to go?
