Aw what a lovely story!
I don't think you went too far. You're only 20, you're both young. You've had an awful time lately, you should have some fun. Don't take it too seriously and just see where it goes!
I'm sure he appreciated the kiss, even if it doesn't lead anywhere in future other than you guys just being friends

Yeah I am seeing him again, Thursday actually, I'm thinking of buying something new, We are going out for lunch somewhere, I cannot wait

Would it be rude to offer to go halves/Me take him? He always pays for it all, Its crazy, I used to pay for all my dates with my ex to this.0 -
Let him pay for it. My OH is a TM for Virgin too and they're on a good wage, £30k+.

Ok sounds like a nicey nice love story...
Doesn't it sound a bit fishy that this person was supposedly a train guard the day you met him, or in other words a ticket collector.
He said he was usually a train driver but covering for someone else that particular day, but the next time you saw him he was doing the same job.
Also a train driver at 21, seems very young to me, could be possible but very unlikely.
Are you sure you are not getting into a relationship on the rebound (rebound being it was the actual moment you left your ex that you met this guy) and also getting into a relationship where the guy is lying to you from the start??0 -
The minimum age for a train driver on Network Rail lines is 21; 18 on the London Underground or for employment wholly within depot confines. Remember that these are only legal minimums; the way the industry works these days means you will probably be well above these ages before you get a driving job.0

Good point Liam, They are both safety critical jobs but have different requirements and rules/regs to keep up to date with.
A driver is there to do just that. A TM is responsible for the train and everything on it.
I can't understand why a Driver would be doing TM duties, all the drivers I know would refuse to do it and have union backing if it were pushed.
Drivers wear different uniform to TMs too, could be a clue there.
