So, will be popping dads fathers day cards through their letterbox this am when he and mum are hopefully out at the shops! It turns out that with other arrangements with dd after school they won't be seeing her until after next week so I consider this to be a good thing. Let things lie for a bit...
So, the other saga of the week has been my car. I had a prang in it about two weeks ago, my fault, hit the side of a brick wall and so I organised for it to go into the garage and to have a courtesy car. Arranged to work from home one morning earlier this week while the garage came to collect the car, then the courtesy car arrived. I had to tell the guy there was no way I would be able to drive it. You see I have an adaption with all the controls on it in my car and in the courtesy car the plan was to just have a steering ball so it was imperatif I could access the windscreen wipers and indicators. Well, I couldn't as they were all on the left side in the replacement car!! I was told that all their cars have controls on the left hand side and I said well Im very sorry but I can not drive it. My left arm and hand just hang on me for want of a better description and there is simply no way I can control anything with my little hand. So, the replacement car had to go back, my car comes back from the garage, and in the meantime the guy who had been organised to fit the steering ball in the hire car arrived having driven two hours to get to me only to find it had all been cancelled and no one had bothered to tell him! What a palava for nothing! So, mobility are now going to organise a car with an adaption already in it with the controls on it and this is what should have been sorted in the first place. Anyway, all is well, I will just need to take another morning off working out and about to be able to be here for everyone..
Financially, am going to review where Im at. My mortgage is due out on the 28th. Working things out in my head I think I will be ok to meet it on time but I just need to double check on paper. Sales are going very well and I am hopeful that two more pics will have sold at auction yesterday. Will hear prob on Monday. Dd and I are working for a couple of hours today, just couldn't get it all done yesterday. The rain was torrential and it slowed everything down.. Tomorrow is ebay day! Staying proactive and trying to move on from all the ups and downs of the week...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Well, what a day of revelation yesterday was. Whilst getting dressed dd told me that she thinks she is being bullied at school. A group of older children in the playground have said to her about me being disabled saying I am a useless mum, and by a couple of other girls in her class who have taken to spit at her and push her. The reason she told me is she said that she spit back at them and was that a wrong thing to do. Whatever the rights and wrongs she ended up crying and being taken by the deputy head to a place she could calm down and sit quietly. I said does the teacher/deputy head know and she said that she didn't want to tell otherwise she might get into trouble and the girls in question would get into trouble and make her life worse. Suffice to say I am going into the school tomorrow to see what they are doing about it. She still says she likes her school but its probably just as well the summer hols are looming near and she will be in a class with a new teacher etc. Its been a difficult year there to say the least..
Other news, this week sees me with another doc appointment. She wants to keep an eye on me as she describes it until my Health In Mind appt comes through and I have to say I am relieved I will be seeing her, dd has her care for carers social session, and a friend has invited her back after school one day. I have bills to meet and orders to process and quite a few odds and ends re phone calls etc to do to get various bits and bobs sorted. Not sleeping well, confidence has taken a bang and until I speak to the school tom am worrying about my dd . She has so much on her plate as it is. Its imperatif I do the right thing by her..Otherwise onwards and upwards, staying as positive as I can possibly be!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

I have just spent 4 days reading the whole diary and I am amazed and in awe of everything you have acheived and the circumstances under which you have achieved them. Your DD is a gem and she is so lucky to have you as her Mum. Don't let others tell you how to lead your life until they have walked in youir shoes they will NEVER understand and if the only way is to not tell them anything so they stop telling you what to do then so be it. My only thought throughout is what will you do if you are sick so you cannot work, everything you have acheived is then put into jeopardy for a while and also I hate to say your family then can say I told you so!!! Is there anyway you can slow up the payments a little to allow a just in case fund to build which would give you a cushion should anything happen which will then mean you can still pay the bills and not have to ask for help from family etc? Maybe some of your ebay sales stays in a savings pot if you are able ? I am honoured to have read your story and I will be cheering you on from Kent which is not so far so if things get that you really need a hand to get on track I will personally drive down to the coast as you have touched me so much with your determination.

sorry about DD, but one positive thing, ur a mum in a million, as she told you, which is a major battle.
The first port of call would be the teacher, don't let them fob you off with its nearly the end of the term, that doesn't matter ur daughter is entitled to feel safe at school, if you get no satisfaction with the teacher, then go to the head, and hopefully from there things will improve, heads won't want the problems in their school, the next step from there, would be the local education authority, who will come down like a ton of bricks.
Sorry if it seems like I'm looking at the worst case scenerio, just that DD was bullied when she was in reception and 1st class, and the head at the time was as much use as a chocolate teapot, so once we got the education authority in, wow things got done, but as a parent you shouldn't have to go that far. We're lucky now the lad got moved, the schools got a new headmaster, and he is strict, the 1st sign of bullying and if he gets involved, its I will get it sorted asap.
Hopefully once you speak to the teacher it should help matters, just be a thought, but maybe offer to go in and speak to the class, so that they can see yes, your disabled but that doesn't mean you can't do things, - Just that I now help out at DD's school, I'm disabled on crutches, and some of the children have asked questions as why are you on crutches miss, why do you have that on your leg (wear a stocking support), why do you walk funny miss, - so I've answered truthfully, that I had 2 car accidents and unfortunately I got hurt, sometimes they just see things as black and white, now I've got a class fighting to come and read with me, and get my crutches, fetch books, and I hope that I've learnt them a life lesson, not to judge a book by its character. The main class I work with are last yr of key stage 1, age 6/7, and theyre brilliant now, yes there are characters, but there in every school, but for me, one boy in particular I've built a brilliant repour (excuse spelling), as for reasons he needs extra help, yet he now sees me as not being "perfect", but still do things (even in a weird manner). xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I am another reader and, like Mint, have spent a few days reading your diary. I admire you so much for your positivity and your gutsy-ness. Is that a word? Well, it should be! I will be thinking of you tackling the school about the bullying and am sure that they will listen to you.

I'm so sorry that your DD is being bullied. I expect that you will naturally have a word with the school, but I wish you didn't have to. *Hugs*Please call me 'Pickle'
