Hi Mumto one, the MP3 player is from Asda, not Argos, and yes its in store, not on their website. I couldn't see it on their website anyway!
It's Monday. I survived yesterday. Mum had put the Xmas tree up, did a complete Xmas lunch with crackers, turkey, Xmas pudding. Wasn't expecting that at all. Thought it was just going to be a normal lunch. There were presents afterwards too. Well, I only took the presents for my sisters 3 which was £10 each. They are off to Australia for 5 weeks in a couple of weeks time. I had previously told everyone don't buy for me for Xmas, I wont buy for you. My sis had bought me a cushion, my parents gave me ££50 and a slow cooker cook book. I said to them I hadn't bought them anything and they said it didn't matter. I dont know if they gave me presents to be nice or they did it to show me up, I will choose to think the former!
Other than that my only conversation with mum was mum asking me how I am, and me replying very well thank you, how are you? Otherwise I stuck with my brother in law with whom I discussed business as hes self employed too and my brothers fiance and my brother in laws mum whose husband sadly died this year and so she came for the day too. Dd had a lovely time with her cousins and other than conversations with the aforesaid I sat politely listening to the news everyone else wanted to share. And then left when it was time for my brother and his fiance to get the bus from the station. Dd and I took them there and came home.
I will text mum today to say thank you but beyond that I have no plans to see them for some time in such a social environment. I plan to keep going as I am and focus on everything positive. Meanwhile dd is going to mums after school today and mum asked me to get an outfit sorted for dd to go horseriding. Shes taking dd horseriding after school for which I thanked her so that was the only other thing we spoke to each other about...
On with today, lots to fit in today all being well, picking up loads of orders hopefully. My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

I like to think that their presents were partly a 'sorry' and I'm glad the day went well. I know you kept yourself a little guarded and you had your safety nets in place but I am sure this feels nicer to you than how things were previously and I hope things keep improving for you family wise.
Still busting here re your PPI news haha not known for my patience.0 -
I am glad things went well for you and that your DD had a nice time! Hopefully your family will continue treating you and your DD this way!0

You can tell I live at Argos... got Asda near, so will have to have a peep.
Really glad Sunday went well, and the present, I think it may have been part sorry, part xmas present, and its something useful, maybe they've finally accepted that you've the path you want, and the slow cooker could relate to that path, and its there way of offering an olice branch.
Glad you had the safety net in place. Hope DD enjoyed her riding lesson, you take care, and don't forget that doctors appointment. I may have mentioned it before, (apologies) our local hospital has a unit, that is related to falls, theres an abbrevation gone out of my head, but they help with advice etc, and may be worth seeing if theres one local. More prevention than a cure, thinking weather etc xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
glad everything went well on sunday .long may it last0

Well done PAF. I'm sure your careful preparation helped. I bet you looked awesome and your Mum wouldn't have dared to start anything with so many people about and seeing how determined you must have looked! Wow, thanks everyone! So, the good news...Sold a massive £1420 in just 1 week. Absolutely fantastic. Am on my way to qualifying for the Company Directors Club in the 3 periods ( a period is 4 weeks in Kl land) to date re my sales , 7 more to go, of which I need to qualify in 5 and then Im in the Directors Club. I feel v passionate about raising the profile of disabled people in business, entrepreneurs too who just happen to have a disability, and how our voice should be heard not ignored and stifled. Thats partly why I want to raise my profile in the business this way. Let my actions and results do the talking and say that with the right support we can contribute to our own destiny in many cases and should not be pre judged and told to give up and go on Incapacity as I have been which makes it all the more necessary that there is support from the business when there is often none from the "outside world" practically speaking! Support to work is negligble from business too and I want to do my bit to try and address that.
Still cautiously optimistic about finances. If, no not if when I pay my accountant in 3 weeks time, and am paid up to date with my mortgage in December, that is I can meet my payment comfortably on the 28th Dec, and have a confident start to 2012, then I will be v happy with my progress to date and pleased with myself. And with not 1, 2 or 3 but 4 complaints with the Halifax ongoing I am expecting some significant pay back from them next year too so really for the time being I have decided over the next couple of months to just meet my min payments on my credit cards, then as the New Year comes along see how I go but most definately review my snowball plan once I know the state of play re the home insurance and 3 ppi complaints. Thats my plan.
So, re work I have three weeks in which to generate sales and guarantee pre xmas delivery. Kl use parcelforce to deliver their orders to distributors and parcelforce have reverted to their Xmas delivery time table which means a day delay in receiving my order. Instead of taking 2 days, I have to allow 3. Thats a loss of 8 days over 4 weeks given I usually place 2 orders a week so I need to make sure each order I place is of a higher value or I may place smaller, more frequent orders. Whatever, my target sales for each of the next 3 weeks is at least £1300 each week. I have been resting, falling asleep by 7/8pm, keeping cooking simple so Im not getting more tired, the housework is very minimal, using a hot water bottle to keep my leg as pain and ache free as possible and warm, I have my walking sticks, all that I feel I need to ensure no falling, and I am absolutely determined to make sure we are ok financially over the festive period and in January/February. Dd's school is closed next weds, absolutely so cross with them, feel like writing to the governors. They have imposed a day away from school when those that be reported me to Social services for far less than that over being late 11% of the year in that first snowy winter and put us through so much unnecessary stress. The irony of it all. Clearly, I still need to work on my forgiveness regarding that situation and be less bitter about it all!!! Suffice to say dd will be working with me much of weds although a dear friend has offered to have her for some of the time which I will be gratefully accepting.
Yes, thats me for now. Am just about to do a chicken casserole in the slow cooker and some ebay later and relax with dd. Have sold 4 things on ebay this weekend. My plan is to keep my paypal balance as a reserve fund. Thats it for now. Heres to a great week, as long as I can be proactive it has to be!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Really glad to see that your business is still doing well. I will keep my fingers crossed that the weather remains mild so as to minimise the chance of falls.....
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Those sales are brilliant, in all honeslty you'd be wasteing a stamp writing to the govenerors re the day off, - at DDs school, shes got the say off, and the "official view" of the govenerors is that with the amount of teachers that will be off, it won't be safe for the children.
I totally agree with you, you've been pulled through the ringer for a situation which you have no control over, yet it suits the teachers to discrupt the education. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Brilliant result on the sales front PAF. What will being in the Directors' Club mean? Extras? Having your paypal as a reserve is such a brilliant idea too. Be careful out there now it's getting colder.
