Thats great news on the sales front PAF. Fingers crossed that the weather stays nice for you - no falling please
The schools annoy me terribly - try taking your child out for 5 school days for a holiday (the only way we can afford to take her with the price in school holidays) and we get shot down in flames but they can kick her out 2 days with not a thought - OK rant over
Directors Club sounds posh!! :TJust keep swimming!0 -
Yes, the Directors Club is an "exclusive recognition scheme"! you get ..recognition, invitation to a VIP dinner and a "special gift"! Its the achieving of it that is enough for me. Listened to Chris Evans on radio 2 while taking dd to school this am and he said something that has stuck with me. "If you don't believe in your dreams, how can you expect them to believe in you. Believe in your dreams!"
So, this week have recd an email from my upline saying that he noticed I wasn't going to their annual dinner and dance plus award ceremony and that whilst he couldn't say definately I could be in line for an award he would still want to offer me the chance to attend!! Am I in line for an award then I ask? No comment! I think if I am it has to be retail related. So, Ive taken the plunge, organised a sleepover for dd with a friend and have booked my place. So, next Sat will see me out at a social event. I can't recall the last time I went out socially without dd in tow! Time will tell if I get an award at all and if so for what! Am cautious in thinking what it could be for in case Im wrong and thats if Im in line for anything anyway! Surely he wouldn't go to the trouble of emailing me if I wasn't!
Things are now really starting to get busy. This weekend is dd's school xmas fair, we plan to start putting the decs up this weekend and on sunday we have been given the opportunity to attend a ballet at the local theatre with the charity that helped me with my stairlift. Dd and I are both v excited about that. Otherwise, its focusing on doing more ebay and also relaxing. Business is ongoingly positive. I am just focusing on getting through all my customers now before Xmas and give them all Xmas cards and push through the orders with the outcome of a hopeful great bonus. I am being careful re my walking. The rain wears me out but dd and I have been singing in the rain and making it fun!!!and she is a very dear child doing things for me so I can rest etc. A sweet child indeed. I love her so so much..

Ooooh PaF, I DO hope you get an award! :j
However, in order to guard against disappointment, just look on it as a lovely night out to be enjoyed, with anything else being a bonus.
Having said that with my sensible hat on, GO PaF! :j :j :TPlease call me 'Pickle'

PAF, your name is so much a description of who you are and your values - I take off my hat to you, having personal knowledge of what it takes to keep going when your body has other ideas!
I'm so pleased to read you're going to the event, and I hope you have a lovely evening regardless of any awards - I so love reading your posts and if there was an award for most inspiring diary, yours would be my choice!
Take care these frosty days. I agree your daughter is a honey, and of course it's all credit to you, m'dear! If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Oh thank you everyone. Please don't think Im an arrogant so and so saying about it, I am excited and trying to stay calm. I have three very dear friends in my life and one of them is coming with me now. I was speaking to her about how I was going out without dd to a...dinner and dance .! and she said oh could I come, my dd is away that weekend. Oh Ill find out I said, and yes she can and so we are going together and both looking forward to it. Have been assessing my finances this am and reviewing my 1, 3, 5 and 10 year goals. Amazingly in my 1 year goal list it was to go out socially without dd and its come true!!! Another was to increase my sales and maybe that , oh I can't think about it just in case. This time next week I wil know, every time I think about it I can feel the tears welling up in a happy way, so staying calm and keeping things in perspective is the order of the day! Another goal is to beat my current snowball plan which will I hope be true next year when I should get a resolution to my 4 complaints with the Halifax and be in a place where I can pay some of the debt off and perhaps treat myself to a new hoover and a new mattress for my bed!!! So, that to me says writing down goals does work ... Anyway, onward and upward. Christmas decs are going to be put up today in our home, the tree at least anyway! My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
