I can totally agree with where your coming from re daughter and photographs, internet etc, my situation is completely different, but its us that toan extet has to do the hiding, DD has been in the papers twice, the 1st time she was 4, that snowballed from what should have been a letter on letters page to full blown nations, tv, radio, but as the incident happened away from home it was easier to hide where exactly we were from, the 2nd time was 2 yrs ago that was just local paper, but it was don't put he address just the town, that was when she recognised stroke symptoms from the tv and called 999, as mum had collasped with a stroke at the top of the stairs.
For us at th moment the court are not finding in dd dads favour, but were fightingtooth and nail. as he had made accusations to abduct her, we've set up procedures at school, frineds, its not fair as she can't just go out to friends house, or walk home from school she has to be met, weve been told if we move we have to give my ex all our details. Yet him and his new family are entilted to their privacy and dont have to live behind curtains and with a veil of security. It makes my blood boil, its the innoncent ons that suffer. xx
Apologies for the rant, kinda f wanted to you to know your not the only one in that boat, and I fully understand your concerns. xxxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
big hugs to both of you for these hard times x0

Oh mumtoone Im so sorry to hear of your predicament too.Unfortunately, you are right, its the innocent that suffer and for me its something I feel v strongly about and one day want to do something positive about. For eg, dd and I rely heavily on support from charity - The National Victim Assoc who have to fight for funding and who run year to year wondering if they will be here next year, We need their ongoing support to go to for advice and support, Care for Carers who are constantly battling for funding just to keep the social club they do for children once every four weeks for two hours, I doubt dd would need Care for Carers if I wasn't a single parent, and then he - the murderer has vast fortunes of tax payers money spent on him to "rehabilitate" him. I can see why thats important but somehow the victims get lost and are almost forgotten. Im sorry for your stress and we just need to have our getting mad moment and then continue to deal with it as best we can!!Best Wishes mum2one...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Hi there Positive and Focused
Just delurking to say I love the fact that your new PPI claim came from your bank trying to stall a reduction in your mortgage payment. That is just so fantastic and really serves them right. The banks are so greedy and don't give a thought to people's circumstances. I love it when someone gets the better of them and no-one is more deserving than you.
I think you have a guardian angel who knew you needed a wee boost at this time of year.If you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
I feel so impatient to find out how the PPI claims pan out so I can't imagine how you are feeling. What a boost this will be for you emotionally and for the money situation.
Hope it goes well at the family gathering for you all.0 -
Hi KM and anifan! Yes, re the PPI they do have until the 6th Feb which is when the 12 weeks are up. And then if they turn round and say no I would then refer it back to the FOB and they can take a further 12 weeks but I did say in my letter about our situation, that stress can effect me. Dont want to sound as though Im playing on my personal circumstances but the fact is stress does effect me and my walking in particular and I want and more importantly need to know where i am financially with it all. It could change the "financial landscape" for dd and I dramatically. Re the home insurance complaint, I decided to forward the copies ofmy latest correspondence to the FOB to the Halifax too, posing the question how could a home insurance complaint result in a letter concerning PPI?!! That said that rests with the FOB and again its not until the 24th Jan when the 12 weeks are up and then they can still write to me to say it could be another 12 weeks. It is all v potentially drawn out, but I will be on to them in a flash if I hear nothing by those dates. Its in the process thats the point and I am in the right in all four cases. In all of them it has transpired I was misinformed, it is how it is. There is no defense for that as far as I can see.
Tomorrow is the big day re family. Was on the verge of texting mum on thursday to say we wont go. I had actually made myself ill thinking about it all. I felt so panickky thinking about it. Today feel more confident..Been practising in the car... How are you Lou? Very well thank you, and how are you? Hows business? Very good thank you, hows yours? What are you doing for Xmas? We have quite a few plans thank you. What about you? Will be parking outside the house so that if anything kicks off, I plan to say, Look, I have made my point on numerous occasions. I have a right to live the life of my choice and that includes me keeping my home and continuing to work all the while I can. I love you all but it's your problem if you can not accept that. We are told we are in the worst recession in living memory and contrary to what you all think I believe I am doing superbly. On that note, I think it would be best if we leave.. And we will go...
Re business, sold over £1K this week. £1030 in fact. Am now starting to go to customers more frequently so I can ensure one more catalogue drop between now and Xmas and guarantee pre Xmas delivery. The downside of that is the tiredness. Im aware I am so tired like yesterday, dd and I planned to sit down and watch a dvd before Children in Need and have a nice earlish supper. I ate the supper and was asleep the rest of the eve. Woke up with dd asleep head on my lap at 1am with the dvd playing over and over!!. Had slept for 6 hours on the sofa....Suffice to say we are having a day at home today. Still in my dressing gown, just about to do some ebay, then get dressed, then do some tidying, then the plan is to do ironing while watching telly, and then relax.. See how we go..Dd happily relaxing too, plans to write her letter to Father Xmas today..
On that note, just quickly am so excited about dd's Xmas pressie. Hav purchased her an MP3 player from Asda for £25, baby pink in colour, a Samsung make with £35 worth of free music downloads with it, which to me was why it was such a good buy. I plan to put on it Cher Lloyd, The Wanted, JLS for her for her to have on it for Xmas day. I have also managed to buy the Series of Doc Martin(secretly for me as much as dd). We both love Doc Martin and Father Christmas is so clever to think of mum as well as dd!!!. Have investigated ear piecing for dds birthday which is on 2nd Jan, and that will be £22 to have gold earrings. So, thats what I plan. Trying not to listen to friends who are spending hundreds on their children, am pleased for them of course but I just hope dd will be pleased with her pressies from me given they are modest in comparison. Im excited about them, I think the lady in asda when I was buying the MP 3 player thought I was slightly mad as I was so excited about it. It felt good to get it for dd and know it was one more thing Icould cross off on my list knowing she will love it.After this weekend when I give myneices and nephew £10 each for Xmas, I basically have just a few more bits from Father Xmas I want to get, my accountant to pay, and that I have worked out I will have enough to pay him by Xmas as Ive done so well getting ahead of myself re Xmas pressies and my sales as I had hoped are over the £1K mark each week. As long as I remain proactove that will continue..Will leave it there, not only have I done a very woffly long message again- but I have pins and needles in my hand again and typing with fuzzy fingers is quite a task!!! Must get a doc appt to address that if I can..Onward and upward with ebay now..My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

positive thoughts and a big hug for you both 2mor.
Father Christmas is doing the same in this house, buying DD the Bendirom dvds, shes mad on them, so I'm as well!
Goodd luck with the halifax, they don't move very fast, got to get off my rear and ask for bank charges, appaently I meet a wack of the criteria, and in all honeslty my OD is all the charges that i had from them.
As for your dd for christmas, please don't think I'm being mean, but remember that your the one that does everything and buys everything throughtout the year, it sounds like shes getting some lovely presents.
I had the same guilt trip re monetry value for DDs birthday, Id spent about £60, my parents, had £80 on her, then her other grandparents, (it was only 2nd time we'd met them), ...big bag of gifts
Opened card out fell £50 note
Opened present - purse - £20 in there
Gift voucher for £20
Pandora charm
2 dresses
2 tops (both dear shops)
about half dozen things,
Without sounding daft, DD said her best present was a hello kitty backpack set that she had off the dog....
It took a very good friend on here to give me a virtual kick up the rear in the nocest of ways, its not the money or keep up with the joneses, its what you do, and thats a 365day a year job.
Thats a bargain from argos, was it in store??? xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
PAF that is awesome news ref your sales. Your customers must really trust you to give you that much money if you see what i mean! Your presents for DD sound lovely. I too don't buy my two very much that is expensive. Though we are having to think about this more now DS1 is 10. He is mentioning in passing about friends having phones and such like, so hmmm. He has got a DS and is all for buying a particular game that has toys with it with his christmas money so.....
Hope the weekend went well for you. I really do. I think practicing things to say is no bad idea
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
