but i handed it in at post office, when it say postoffice does it mean postbox outside?

Yes you are supposed to use the postbox outside not hand it over the counter as they don't want you to do this unless asked specifically. You need to look through the training package it tells you in there. I would mark that you put in in the postbox outside the post office as it's getting collected from same place anyway.

They prefer you to put it in the postbox if one is outside But if you havent then hand it into staff

...just really to stop the staff getting suspicious if you have lots of mail aready stampted
  • We applied for this offer several weeks ago and thought that we had been declined as well as forgotten.

Amazed and pleasantly surprised to get an email over the last few days to confirm that we have been selected to participate.

Should be interesting as I am not totally convinced that our local PO service is totally innocent !;):)

I only hand it over the counter when it is a packet that wont fit in the box but I always say I posted it in the box.
  • I've been accepted on the program and have posted my first two test items. Received some free stamps as well which is good. I still don't know too much about this and will gradually read though some of the posts on this page. But can you tell me why this is so popular and why so many people want to be part of this? Is it because of the free stamps?

  • Yes, it's because of the free monthly stamps, also we usually get a couple of presentation packs throughout the year (Not sure about now as they have split it into 6 monthly rotation) and a diary at Christmas/new year!

Also I have received chocolate at Easter and Halloween before but I believe it was done randomly and not all got this!

You may also get the chance to do misdelivery surveys (They appear on your page for you to accept or not about 4-6 times a year) for which you get a £5 love to shop voucher!

Yes, its the free stamps, plus the misdelivery surveys which earn £5 and the prize draw for the occasional £10.00 and I like doing it.

The best thing to do is go through all the training stuff they either send you or is on the website. Then if you have a query you will remember the answer is there somewhere - it's pretty comprehensive. Joanne and the other staff are also very helpful. It's not a great plan to put too much information on this forum as Royal Mail employees are bound to read it and people are forever asking for information on here that is easily found in the training information anyway.

I do it partly for the stamps as I work for a small voluntary agency and it saves us quite a bit, and also as I live in a very rural area I feel anything I can do to help improve services is worth doing. As I work from home it also gives me a bit of a routine, as the nearest postbox is around 2 miles away, I can plan my dog walk around the time I'm due to post.

The vouchers (and chocolate!) would certainly come in handy. I don't use many stamps but I can dish them out to family members I guess.
