ALso if posting the the next week, when you are putting the date posted, do not click on posted today because the software does not recognise that today is in fact a week later. You must click till you get to the calendar then click on the actual date you posted if you do not do this you will get a query/phone call.

    HTH

I've never had a problem with "today" when recording something posted a week late. In fact I think (from memory so could be wrong!) the system immediately prompts to ask whether the item was posted on the due date and, in response to "no", automatically produces a calendar.

The only problem I've had with not specifying the actual date is when I've recorded something very late in the day (approaching midnight) and it seemed the receiving computer was not set to current UK time and was recording things as being on a different day.

Their system went mad at me the other day as I dared to post an item on a Saturday after the last collection time. The minute I'd gone back to the main menu the red query box had appeared and demanded I check the posting time.

Every day you record how many items of post you receive, and if they are all correctly addressed to your property, i.e. to check you don't get mis-delivered items perhaps for your neighbours or perhaps for a similar street name.

Also, it's recording if the postmen just leave packets on your doorstep without knocking or without leaving a card if you're out.
