and having just started ebaying I thought it would be good to use up my stamps for posting parcels. So the idea is, I put on just under the amount needed in 1st class stamps then ask for the remainder, get my certifcate of posting - job done - easy, yes?
Anyone would think I'd asked them to gift wrap in silk and hand deliver the parcels themselves! Umming and ahhing, sighing and harumphing, "we're really busy, it's the start of the month, why can't you do it next week?" It took him longer to moan about it than actually do it. I thought I'd just got someone having a bad day, but same story this morning "why do you have to do it this way, such a waste of time"
Does anyone do this and have any tips to make it easier? Or has anyone cashed in their stamps sucessfully?
I wish Kantar would do mystery shopping at the post office - I'd definitely be up for that one!
sorry, I know, slightly off topic, but I'm still fuming and had to vent!
It's a very rural post office, maybe that's why.

Just realised I haven't received any stamps for a while and I cant find on the site when it says the next stamp run is on or the last one to be honest!
Any help would be appreciated.:doh:0 -

I guess they could be trying to test the very first Monday collection but if they are they won't get much help from me as I always post before final collection in these circumstances

I had something like that for a Saturday ages ago and was told by Kantar that it should be posted before the final collection and to ignore the "after 1 pm" bit.0 -

Stamps should be in the envelope with this weeks (w/c 31/8) letters to post. I received mine.

I tried to cash in my stamps a few months ago, and got blank stares from the Post Office. I'm not sure they know what it means to "cash in a stamp".
Pity, because I've got a ridiculous collection too
I'm saving really hard for son's wedding in Nov, so started selling on Amazon and use stamps for postage 2nd class, plus saved him a few pounds by giving him stamps for invites and reply cards, so running low now. Hope to get a few extra posts!!:pDecember 2011 Sesky Watch, strimmer, tv, hoover & steam cleaner. March 2012 Straw dogs blueray film.0 -

Just realised I didn't receive any in that posting - so e-mail on way to them.
Notice that the website shows stamps with 3/8/09 posting still!0 -
Has anyone been receiving junk mails?
I've been receiving some junk mail/magazines addressed as P.O. and then with my name. I was told by Kantar that anyone posting me on this survey will have same way of addressing so am thinking that this may be to do with this survey.0 -

Are your test initials different to your real ones?? Thats the best way of identifying whats your mail and what are test items.0
