My money is in - allocating here and there but Tesco will not allow me to set up a second current account - perhaps because I am abroad.
Is there a First Direct 2% savings account does anyone have a link?
S&S ISA has been topped up
Nationwide 1.7% sounds interesting0 -

I looked when one was mentioned above. All that I could find was a CASH ISA holding a balance of over £40,000! As a First Direct customer I would also like to know if I am missing something.

You're missing nowt! There is no First Direct 2% general savings account. The only account at 2% is their cash ISA and that is set to drop to 1.5% in October.
However, for new current account holders there is the Regular Saver 6% account with First Direct. But then you can only add £300 per month to it.0 -
I put mine straight into my Nationwide flexclusive saver at 2%', not a lot, but better than most instant access0

I've noticed a potential problem when transferring this Newcastle ISA to another provider. First off it has 13 alpha/numerics for its account number and the data fields in transfer forms contain room for just 8 digits. Secondly, there appears to be no sort code with these accounts.
Has anyone else noted this problem and overcome it?0 -
How did you manage 2% on that account? Their website shows it at 1.4% gross.Happychappy wrote: »I put mine straight into my Nationwide flexclusive saver at 2%', not a lot, but better than most instant access0
