Does anybody know whether the money arrives in your Bank account as cleared funds? Mine amounts to £18000 if relevant.

As others, I was told earlier today that the money will arrive in my account by close of business today in accordance with their terms and conditions.
Take my advice at your peril.

Mine has just come through too.

Now off to check the instant access accounts I have and stick in the highest % until I decide what to do with it.

Money can be a pain sometimes.

As well as the government with their Fund for Lending and Help to buy.
No wonder the savings market looks so grim.

Wish I had a crystal ball. Hopefully, rates will rise during the next 12 months.

Investec are offering a one year fix @1.95%
I don't know much about them, so not sure whether to go with this.

I've had one of their High5 accounts for quite a while (closed for new holders now - interest was the average of the top 5 savings rates quoted on one of the major comparison sites).
Never had a problem with them other than the sadly decreasing rates of course.

Just opened a Tesco current a/c and e-saver paying 1.35%.

Tried to transfer £5K to my new Tesco a/c and transfer blocked for fraud check! Currently 15mins on hold to HX fraud dept. At least its a freephone no.
