    Me too.

Logged in but the Bond has disappeared and nothing yet in my current account.

I phoned them a few minutes ago. I was told that the money would be in my current account by the close of business tomorrow.

They stated that they were not a bank.

I haven't had my capital back yet, but the interest was paid yesterday to a different bank account. I was not expecting them to do that.

Is anyone shifting this from Newcastle to First Direct? Or is there something better?

2% at the moment but it's dropping to 1.5% in October. However, it's variable so possibe to shift it again in October if there's owt better out then at that point.

I think you have to have a current account with them to get a fixed rate account so this puts me off.
I have enough current accounts to be going on with.

Kent & Reliance have a 1 yr fix at 2.01%

Yes, you're right you do have to have a current account with them. If you were going to do that then it would be better to transfer an old unused current account to them and earn yourself £100 (or £125 if the link on MSE is still valid) for doing so!

I`m hoping to see my money in my nominated account by "close of business" today.
    Whatever time that is!
